Happy Monday, everybody! It’s January 22nd, so I feel like it’s the perfect time to highlight some athletic gear. I actually have several activewear posts planned for the near future, and we’re kicking things off today with some great pieces from Kohl’s!

I’ve highlighted pieces from this particular brand before, but today is going to be all about the FLX brand!

Y’all know I love Vuori pieces, and FLX totally gives Vuori vibes, but for a fraction of the price.

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’ve been wearing Vuori for years. I love telling everybody how amazing the brand is, and I stand by that. But since the Vuori pieces are pricey, I’m thrilled to have found FLX as an alternative brand.

My sneakers are Nike, but everything else is FLX.

This quilted jacket has excellent reviews, is water repellant, and is machine washable. It’s a medium weight, and I love that it has a hood and nice sized pockets. There’s also a drawstring with toggles across the hem of the jacket, so you can wear it loose or tighten it up for a more fitted look through the hips.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but it’s quite roomy. I am going to exchange it for a small so the shoulders will fit me better.

I think you’ll find that it’s similar to the Vuori Canyon Insulated Jacket.

The leggings are LEGIT.

The material is so smooth and silky, and they feel fantastic on. They’re like buttah. And y’all, even though I don’t personally own Lululemon leggings, I have felt them before, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say these are VERY similar. But these are on sale for under $45 (WOW!) and Lululmeon Align leggings are $98.

These are the perfect 7/8 length that hit right at the ankle, and I like the way that they smooth everything out. I do want to mention that I’ve worn them several times now and washed them probably 4-5 times, and I haven’t yet experienced any pilling that some of the reviews mention.

These sneakers are DARLING. They’ve got a really cool retro vibe, and I’m of course totally smitten with the color combo. These are true to size for me, but if you are sometimes between sizes, I always recommend sizing up in sneakers.

I can’t wait to wear these with straight leg jeans and sweaters right now and basic tees later.

This $35 duffle bag (regularly $70) is a much more affordable option to the $128 duffle bag that I’ve been talking about since November. Y’all know I’m OBSESSED with my other bag, but this one is truly a great alternative. This is the “plum marble”, but it comes in 3 other colors.

And here’s the exact same outfit, but I switched out the black quilted jacket for this khaki-colored jacket.

Because who doesn’t love options.

The hoodie that’s under the jacket is very similar to the Halo Essential Hoodie from Vuori. It’s not heavy at all, it has a hood, contrasting strings, and a banded hem.

This zip up hoodie is on sale if you go with the solid black, and the Halo Performance Hoodie from Vuori is $98. Which is again a significant savings! Lightweight, super soft, and super cute. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This tee is a great basic, and at just under $25, it’s a fantastic buy too. I’ve ordered both the modern white and the smoky denim for myself as well. The leggings are smoky denim too, so I’ll be happy to have a matching set. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This functional little cross body bag can fit all of your essentials you need for running around town.

These smoky denim leggings are a little more substantial than the black leggings I highlighted at the beginning of today’s post, and they aren’t silky like the black leggings. They also have a little bit more compression as well. Still, I’m wearing a small and love the 7/8 ankle length.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE JACKETS

I’m posting this outfit again because this jacket was one of MY PERSONAL TOP 10 PICKS FOR ALL OF 2023! It’s one of the pieces that I want to keep screaming and shouting about because I love it so so much. I’m wearing it all the time. With leggings, with jeans, I’m telling you….. allllllllllllll the time.

This jacket is very similar to my Vuori Cozy Sherpa Jacket that is $168.

But this little boucle bomber (seen below) is MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE. It’s regularly $70 (which is already a great deal), but it’s ON SALE right now for ONLY $34.30!!!

It’s lightweight with a relaxed fit, and it’s not bulky at all. It’s lined with a warm fabric which I appreciate, because jackets lined with silky fabrics make me crazy because they are so cold when you first put them on!

It’s got a bit of a cropped fit (but it’s not cropped cropped if you know what I mean), and it has a stand-up collar that y’all know I love. Do you see the front pockets on the bottom half of the jacket? They fold over with snaps, so you can store things in them if you need to. But the great thing about the pockets is that they also have side slits, so they function like a normal pocket. Jackets without real pockets annoy the fire out of me, so I was happy to realize that these pockets were actual functioning pockets.

I’m wearing the “lilac bellflower”, but it also comes in beige, a dark olive green, and black.

I’m telling you, it is so cozy and so cute that you are never going to want to take it off. And again, it’s 1/4 of the price of the Vuori jacket I love. That’s quite a deal.
