A Bachelorette Told Me To and a Stella and Dot Giveaway!

Wow.
Episode 3 gave me lots of material, so let’s just dive right in.

 Lesley hit the jackpot of 1:1 dates. 
I can’t help but think back to sweet Sarah from last week who got “free fall 300 feet”.  Dang.
Lesley gets to kiss for 3 1/2 minutes. 
I don’t know who Lesley paid off, but I’m guessing it was worth every penny.
 And I had trouble taking a screen shot at just the right time, but it looks like Sean might have gotten lost in the kiss at around
53 seconds.  Check out the intentional (but oh so brief) hiney grab.
I think Sean just needed something to do with his hands, and her hiney was the nearest piece of real estate.  I think it’s the same reason why she kept grabbing his hair.

I just have one thing to say about the girls that are all smiles and cheering when their name gets called for the group date.

Okay….wanna know something about me?…
I would have preferred doing the dreaded 300 ft free fall over having to
play volleyball in a swimsuit.
 Not even kidding.
 First of all, volleyball HURTS!
I still wince when I think about the volleyball unit in 6th grade at Wallace Elementary.
Yep, Ms. Adams MADE me “play”.
It wasn’t pretty, and my forearms would be really red by the end of p.e. 🙂
Second of all, this date does not meet my previously discussed requirements for wearing a swimsuit on national t.v.
Rule #1:  Must be laying down.
Rule #2:  Must have arms stretched out above head to maximize optimum skininess.

This picture just straight up makes me laugh.

Okay.  Listen.
I cannot blame these ladies for crying on the van ride home….and neither can you!
Put yourself in their position.
You were just forced to play volleyball in a bikini on national t.v. for a “date”, you just got kicked off said date, you are still in your swimsuit…and you are in a scary van being carted away.
 The walk of shame and a van ride in a swimsuit……NOT NICE abc.
And you can bet I’d be screaming “SOMEBODY THROW ME A FLIPPIN T-SHIRT!” like a crazy person.

I REALLY like Kacie B., but the girl messed up last night.
I know she wanted to kick herself after getting wrapped up in the drama and telling the teacher…I mean Sean….on Amanda and Desiree.
She looked like she wanted the ground to just swallow her up right about here.
I believe Sean had just told her that he wanted her to act like herself and not a crazy person.  Ouch.

 GIRLS, have we learned nothing from season’s past?
NEVER be the tattle tale….you will always be sent packing.
On a different note, she was rocking that aztec skirt.  It was super short, but I think she pulled it off.

Now let’s talk about Tierra.
I could be wrong, but who thinks she threw herself down the stairs?
Let’s be real for a cotton pickin’ second and just at least admit that it’s a possibility.
I mean, I’ve seen enough soap operas in my day where crazy ladies throw themselves down the stairs for a myriad of reasons.  (Does anybody remember when Maxi threw herself down the stairs on General Hospital to fake a miscarriage?  Anybody? Please tell me there are some other GH watchers out there.)
Anyway, I’m not accusing Tierra.  However, I am alleging that she might have “fallen” on purpose.
Allegedly.

Now on to Ashlee’s date.
I MEAN.
Sooooooooooooo sweet.
I loved, loved, loved everything about this date.  But my favorite part was how genuinely touched Sean was by Ashlee’s story.
Sean, Ashlee, and the girls were just as cute as can be hanging out together.

I think Sean and Ashlee should get married and they should adopt those girls.  
They would make such a happy family.
Sean and Ashlee should still however make some babies of their own, because they
would make some really pretty (and compassionate) babies.

My favorites so far are definitely Desiree, Ashlee, and Lesley.
What about you?!?

Okay…enough of the recap…..On to the outfit!
 After a reader’s suggestion last night (thanks Rachel!), I thought I would copy Tierra’s look.

And for the record…I really really tried to make my eyebrow raise up like 4 inches, but alas, my eyebrow was unable to perform such a trick, so I cut my eyebrow (and the rest of my face) out of the picture.  It’s hard to look pretty in a neck brace,
 but I think Tierra actually managed to pull it off quite nicely. 

Okay…on to the real look.
I decided to copy Lesley’s lace and pearls.
As you can see, it’s a very loose interpretation (black instead of white, a shirt and jeans instead of a dress)…but you get the idea.
And I actually really liked the finished look!

    Hilarious, as usual! Love your loose interpretation of Lesley's outfit–it's 10 degrees in Annapolis, MD today, so I can't even think about wearing a dress–you're outfit is much more weather appropriate (under a big warm coat, with a scarf, hat, and gloves, but I digress…)

    I loved Sean & Ashlee's date–so sweet–and her story was heartwarming. I was perplexed by Kacie, she should have known better. I also had a hard time figuring out what she was trying to say and wished, for her sake, that she would just stop talking! Kacie was one of my favorites on Ben's season, but could tell by Sean's response when she got out of the limo that it wasn't going to happen, so I was glad to see her go (better sooner, rather than later). Sean was a gentleman for not putting her through rose ceremony.

    Anyway…love love love your blog–so fun and inspiring. The Bachelor/Bachelorette is the only "reality" tv I watch, but I LOVE Revenge, HIMYM and Big Bang Theory…what are your favorites?

    I want #1 necklace. I looked it up on their website and its $79. It must be really nice because those normally cost between $15 and $20.

    That stinks that Kasie B went home because I liked her but she should have known better. I agree that Tierra could have thrown herself down the starts. And I used to watch General Hospital. Lesley and Ashlee both got to go on awesome dates. Desiree is my favorite girl so far. I also like Lesley and Ashlee. All three of them are really sweet and beautiful women with beauty on the inside too.

When he said they were going to play volleyball I think my blood pressure shot right up as I was imagining myself in their position. Add to that the bikini situation and I think I would have just curled up and died. I'm totally with you on the whole Tierra thing.     I enjoy your recreations and your recaps. I just love the Bachelor and even cooler that he's from Dallas!! I think the 3 1/2 minute kiss would be quite awkward with a lot of strangers around, but I'm not a huge fan of PDA. Maybe when I was dating instead of married I would have been cool with the long public kiss! 😉 I loved Ashlee's story too and that Sean got all teary eyed. I did too! From the S&D catalog, I would choose Avalon Station Necklace. I have been wanting a longer necklace and a friend got one like this recently and I loved it! 🙂

    I would love love #2! Regarding to Ashlee's date, I think Sean has a real winner right there. I'm also a little upset about Kacie B. leaving because she really was one of my favorites on Ben's season. It's such a shame that she was being a tattle-tale, which ended up in her leaving.     I love #2, the Fiona Earrings! I was drawn to everything that was blue and turqouise because that is what I love and always buy so these earrings are something DIFFERENT! I love that they are neutral but still a beautiful statement!
