How’s that for a descriptive title?
First off, I’ve got 2 early Fall outfits for you. I say they’re early Fall, only because I’m wearing jeans. But since both have lightweight short sleeved shirts and sandals, they are completely appropriate to wear right now as well.
But wait! Before we get started!
Please come back to see tomorrow’s post. If you are an Ambassador (card level 3), you can shop tomorrow! I worked really hard to find what I think are the very best items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I’m highlighting just the best of the best tomorrow! I shopped from 8:00-4:30 on Tuesday and had such an amazing time putting outfits together. And you want to know something both hysterical and pathetic? I’M SORE TODAY. From shopping. I wish I was kidding.
If you are shopping the sale tomorrow, make sure you scroll down to see my REVISED COLLAGE for my Nordstrom picks. There are a handful of items that appeared in my “What’s In My Cart” collage on Monday that I am no longer recommending now that I’ve had a chance to try them.
All right….time for a couple of outfits! I think you’ll see that the shirts totally make both of these looks.
I think it’s fabulous. I love the warm muted neutral color, the pattern is lots of fun, and I think the subtle pleated sleeves are adorable. This shirt looks great with denim shorts too, but it truly is the PERFECT fall tee. I love it with sandals here, but it’s going to look awesome with dark wash denim or black jeans and booties!
Great colors, great pattern, great on it’s own, and great for layering. This tee checks all the boxes.
And I think it looks great with lots of gold jewelry piled on top.
The tee comes in an olive color too, and it’s ONLY $39! It’s not part of the Anniversary Sale, so it’s available to everybody right now! The small was too tight on me in the chest, so I grabbed a medium.
You first saw this tee last week styled with denim shorts, and I thought it looked great with them as well.
This ruffle sleeve tee is expensive, but it’s more more special than just a regular old tee. The sleeves are so pretty and feminine! They’ve got lace, they’ve got gathers, they’ve got pleats, and they’ve got a sweet little ruffle. The tee is beautifully made. I needed a medium in this tee as well.
I know some of you will want to wait for it to go on sale, and you know I’ll alert you if that ever happens!
I love this necklace so much and it’s on sale. It comes in both gold and silver. Some pieces are shiny, and some are hammered, which creates an awesome look. You slip the necklace over your head (you never have to hook it!) and then you adjust it to the length you want. I choose my length depending on what I’m wearing.
I mean. There’s no denying that this tee is darling. And it’s a beautiful color.
MY SALE PICKS REVISED
Since Ambassadors can shop tomorrow, and since I shopped on Tuesday, I want to take a bit of time here to revise my “What’s In My Cart” list that I published on Monday. I was able to see/try on some of the things in the below collage, and that changed my opinion on a handful of items. I LOVED some of the items, and I didn’t care for others. And still there were others that weren’t in store so I’ve yet to see them.
If the item has a yellow X over it, it means I didn’t love it. I share why below the collage.
If the item number has a red circle around it, I tried it on and LOVED it.
1. green earrings / 2. link hoop earrings / 3. dainty necklace / 4. Tory Burch cognac bag / 5. lighted vanity mirror / 6. caviar sticks (eye color trio) / 7. Charlotte Tilbury Glowing Skin set / 8. striped cross body tote / 9. North Face quilted jacket / 10. North Face fleece jacket / 11. leopard bomber jacket / 12. wireless bralette / 13. pintuck lace top / 14. leopard blouse / 15. twist hem top / 16. smocked mock neck blouse / 17. perforated booties / 18. camo sneakers / 19. leopard booties / 20. Veja sneakers / 21. tan mules / 22. open cardigan / 23. dolman sleeve cardigan / 24. blardigan / 25. stretch blazer / 26. crewneck pullover / 27. Zella cozy wrap jacket
Even thought it’s beautiful, I didn’t love the Tory Burch cognac bag (#4) because I thought the strap was too long when worn cross body and it wasn’t adjustable.
I absolutely loved the colors in the North Face fleece jacket (#10), but I thought it was way too bulky. I wanted it to be longer, and I wish it had a zipper instead of snaps.
I’m sure it will be cute on others (in fact, I’ve seen it on other bloggers and thought they looked great), but the pintuck lace top (#13) made me feel like I should be teaching school on Little House on the Prarie. Laura would have ROCKED this top during her teaching years.
The camo sneakers (#18) were very stiff, hard to get on, and not comfortable at all. Too bad, because they are super cute.
You’ll get to see the items I love on tomorrow’s post!
I wanted to let y’all know that I’ve updated my Nordstrom Looks page with several more outfits! I’m having way too much fun putting these outfits together, and I’ve received so much wonderful feedback from y’all, so THANK YOU!
I added 7 new outfit collages yesterday that are all based on outfits that you will see me wearing on Friday’s post…so if you head to the page you’ll be getting a sneak peek!
You will see collages like you see below. When you click on the outfit you are interested in, you can then click on all of the individual pieces to add them to your Wish List or straight to your cart (depending on what level you are)! Go check it out!
HAIR CARE and SKIN CARE SALE
One more thing….
Colleen Rothschild has another great sale going on!
Spend $100, Save $25 with code SAVE25
Spend $200, Save $50 with code SAVE50
Spend $300, Save $75 with code SAVE75
Colleen’s hair products are the newest addition to my mine and my mom’s arsenal. And actually, my sister is who got us hooked on them. Several months ago my mom was complaining to me and my sister about how her hair was “just getting old“. She said it was dry, not as shiny as it used to be, and frizzy. At the time, Conner was already using (AND LOVING) the CR hair products, so she let my mom borrow them for a couple of days. My mom immediately noticed a difference after the first use, and now she swears by them.
She says she uses the Quench and Shine Restorative Mask on wet hair. She just massages a little bit in, and she doesn’t even rinse it out all the time. She feels like it does a really great job repairing her damaged hair. She uses the Smooth and Shine Hair Serum on hair that is already styled. She rubs a little in to reduce frizz and add shine.
After both of their glowing recommendations, I had to try the products for myself, and now I’m ABSOLUTELY ADDICTED too. The shampoo is okay, but I’ve decided that I don’t really love it. BUT I LOVE THESE TWO PRODUCTS SO MUCH. I use the mask at least once a week, and so far I’ve only really used it like a conditioner (put it in and washed it right out). I’m excited to use it as a true mask sometime soon to see even better results. I use the serum both when my hair is wet and when it’s dry. It truly does smooth and shine, and a tiny little bit goes a long way for the serum. I’ve noticed a definite difference in my hair since incorporating these products into my routine, and I would even say that like my mom, I noticed a difference after the first use!
If your hair needs a little extra love, I highly recommend these products. Go read the reviews. EVERYBODY LOVES THESE PRODUCTS.
In order to qualify for a % off, you will have to put another item in your cart to get to the $100. I of course recommend the radiant cleansing balm (it’s luxurious and amazing and I look forward to washing my face each night). Or the intense hydrating mask (with incredible reviews) would get you just a little over $100, which would qualify you for the first savings level.
Okay, that’s it y’all!
I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a really amazing Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post. #ifidosaysomyself
