A White Tee and a Scarf: Styled in 6 Different Outfits!

Last Wednesday I had a lot of fun showing y’all some outfits that I had planned out for fall and winter looks.  I created all 6 outfits around a white tee and plaid infinity scarf, and I put them together with other items that I already had in my closet!  Look how cute all 6 outfits turned out if I do say so myself.  😉

I’m wearing 2 different white tees in the following 6 outfits.  Although I only had one tee in the above flat lays, once I actually started putting the outfits on my body, I realized that the “like buttah” tee in white was wayyyy longer than my wine and black tees in the same size (I have the black and the wine in smalls, and they are perfect).  The white tee (in the same size small) had too much fabric and length to look good paired with my shorter jackets.  So, I’m wearing this peplum tee in the outfits with my shorter jackets, and I ‘m wearing the buttah tee in the outfits with the longer layers.  (FYI:  Once I saw how big the white “like buttah” tee was in a small, I jumped online to order an x-small to compare sizes.  Sadly, the x-small was on back order, so I can’t comment on the fit.  So basically, I’m still unsure if my white small is sized incorrectly, or if for some reason the white tee is just sized differently.  #clearasmud )

Outfit #1

I paired plaid with leopard for this outfit, and I absolutely loved it!

If you don’t have a leopard clutch, you could still get a pop of leopard by doing a 1/2 tuck with a regular tee and wearing a leopard belt….or if you have leopard shoes, you could wear those (leopard flats, leopard booties, leopard loafers).

Size References:  I’m wearing a small in the peplum tee, a small in the jacket, a 27P in the pants (I’m almost 5’4″.), and the booties are true to size.

And here’s a close up of the cargo skinnies!  They are quickly becoming favorites for me, and they come in plus size too! They are very stretchy, very comfortable, and very flattering.  In addition to this army green (seen below), these pants also come in a dark grey and a camo pattern!  Again, at almost 5’4″, I’m wearing a 27 Petite in these pants.

OUTFIT #2

I thought that this pairing was totally unexpected, but I went for it and thought it was great!  Have you never thought of pairing camo and plaid together?  Neither had I, but I will now!

I’m not keeping these camo pants for myself because I have 2 different pairs already that I love from year’s past.  However, I get asked every year to find a pair that’s currently available, so I ordered some to try (and they already sold out as well).

I did however find an alternative that should work!!!! This pair is stretchy, the camo pattern isn’t crazy, they don’t break the bank, and they come in a plus size option!  Plus, they are from the Wit and Wisdom brand that so many of y’all are now fans of.

OUTFIT #3

Since I had a longer layer on top, I was able to wear my white “like buttah” tee with this outfit!

Y’ALL.  THIS ENTIRE OUTFIT IS STUPID COMFY.  This would be the perfect outfit for running errands on a chilly day.  It would also be the perfect outfit for watching Netflix and napping on your couch on a chilly day.  😉

Let’s break it down:  a tee that’s “like buttah”, the jeans I honored with the name “pajama jeans“, Uggs, and a freaking blardigan.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me if this tee requires a cami under it. It does not, but it does require a bra without any lace on the cups or straps.  The fabric of the tee is so soft and supple that lace definitely shows through when you are wearing the white, so this bra is perfect for it.  So when you take into account that I’m also wearing a comfy bra and the best underwear ever, it’s going to be a miracle if I get anything done while wearing this.

OUTFIT #4

My love of a military jacket runs deep.  And pairing this plaid scarf with a military jacket is a no brainer.  It was actually the first outfit I thought of when I started out to create all of the flat lays.  If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, I’m hoping you already have one in your closet (because I’ve been shouting about my love for a great military jacket for over 3 years now)!

OUTFIT #5

I changed this outfit up a bit from how I had originally planned it in the flat lay.  Since the tee was too long to do a good 1/2 tuck with a leopard belt, I decided to wear the tee like a tunic, but I still got the pop of leopard in with the clutch!

When I bought this long cardi, I was unsure how often I would actually wear it.  Well, I reach for it all the time!  It’s such a nice change from all of the short cardigans I’ve worn for the last 20 years!  Ha!  And if you don’t have black jeans yet, I’m not sure what you are waiting for.  The ones linked also come in plus size, and have great reviews!

OUTFIT #6

This outfit is the most “me” of all 6 outfits today.  Y’all know I’m smitten with my grey jeans…and when I also get to wear my must have jacket, shoreline converse, and a baseball cap…it’s gonna be a good day.  I mean, looking cute and put together (while rocking some seriously dirty hair) is always a plus.

I like this sweater (and love the price tag of $39), but some readers have complained that it’s too tight on their arms.  I haven’t noticed a problem, but if you tend to notice tightness in arms, be forewarned!  If you already have this sweater and love it, it now comes in a gorgeous red which would be perfect for holiday parties, an olive green, and a pretty plum color (in addition to the grey, blush, and black).

And if you look at the colors in the scarf, you see it would also look great paired with an oatmeal colored top, a red top, a turquoise top, an olive green top, a blush colored top, and a mustard top!  You really would be hard pressed to go wrong!!!
