Happy Friday, Everybody!
Well, it’s been a HUGE week over here at Sheaffer Told Me To! I made my case for Denim on Denim on Monday, on Tuesday I announced the name change, and on Wednesday I recapped the Bachelor fantasy suite dates and the 23,000 I LOVE YOUs that were exchanged. I’m physically and emotionally exhausted. 😉
But today? TODAY IS GONNA BE AWESOME! I have a great spring outfit for you and a FABULOUS giveaway.
But first up, I want to again say how overwhelmed I was with all of your support this week. I’d been thinking about changing the blog name for awhile now, but was a little anxious about how it would be received. Well, it seems I had nothing to worry about because MY WORD, YOU GUYS ARE THE ABSOLUTE SWEETEST!!! I can’t thank you enough for all of the kind words and encouragement!
Before we get to the outfit today, I have a couple of house keeping things to address with the new blog. I received a couple of e-mails from people saying that they are now being blocked from the blog at work. In addition to the name change, my platform also changed from Blogger to WordPress, so that might be where the problem lies (Blogger is a Google product so it might not have been blocked before). If you are now being blocked from the blog at work AND/OR if you receive the blog by e-mail and are having issues with either tiny or large font, then I suggest subscribing for e-mails HERE. A different system was installed and it should fix all font sizes issues! After you sign up, the blog will be e-mailed to you with each new post, and you should be able to read it wherever, so that should fix the work problem as well!! Concerning the blog organization, please notice all of the tabs in blue found under the header at the top of this page. Okay, enough house keeping, let’s get to a great spring outfit!
I ordered THESE PANTS from Anthropologie a couple of weeks ago. I loved all the colors (great colors like coral, grey, mint, and blue), but I was immediately attracted to this mustard because I loved the entire outfit the Anthro model was wearing. What can I say, denim jackets speak to me. I loved the laid back but still super cute vibe of the whole outfit, and I already had everything in my closet to recreate it (so, adding the pants was kind of a no brainer). 🙂
The pants came in this week, and I love them (even though they are a darker yellow than they look on the website). They are comfy and fun, and they will be great to work into my wardrobe rotation that usually consists of jeans, jeans, and more jeans.

I threw on my MUST HAVE denim jacket from several years ago, my cork wedges from last year, and my new white tee! For size reference, I’m wearing a 27 regular in the pants (I’m almost 5’4″ and didn’t need the petites), so I think they are true to size. They are from the Anthro pilcro line (they are a stretch cotton twill), and they are machine washable! I’m wearing a small in the jacket (so true to size). The jacket is quite fitted, but that’s how I wanted it. If you want it to be a bit roomier, then I suggest sizing up one size. I’m wearing a small in the tee (true to size), and I suggest sizing up a 1/2 size in the wedges!
This is a really good white tee. I am wearing a cami under it (I prefer to do that with white tees), but if this one doesn’t float your boat, I have a white tee review coming up sometime in the next couple of weeks! I ordered 6 and will do a side-by-side review of them, so stay tuned for that!
And please notice my jewelry….the wood earrings and $18 bar gold pendant are great basics to wear all year long!

Since I loved the look so much, I wore it again just a couple of days later (I tend to do that)…but I mixed it up a bit and this time I wore it with my dark denim jacket and my favorite wood bead tassel necklace.

A couple more shots, with a close up of the jewelry and the shoes. I ADORE these wedges and I’m so happy they brought them back this year! If you have a really wide foot, I’m not sure if they’ll work for you. But otherwise, they are comfy and they go with everything! Remember, I suggest sizing up a 1/2 size. I’m guessing they’ll sell out again this year once it starts warming up.

The pilcro hyphen chino shorts are also great. Over-washed and soft. Roll leg to adjust inseam. (they run a solid 1-2 sizes big). Give them a try! (oh, and they are suuuper streeeetchy)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog and have followed you for a long time. I love your style and have ordered many of the items you recommend.
Two things –
– I can’t seem to pin anything on Pinterest from the rafflecopter.
– Also, since you’ve changed your name, the emails are hard to read. They go across the screen and I have to scroll a lot to get to the end, then scroll back over to read the next line. This is likely because of your signature being too wide. I never had that problem with your other emails.

Love your blog- you are my new stylist- I have gotten so many good ideas from you! The cami under a white t-shirt- I would like to do this too. I am 47 & as Nora Ephron says- at a certain age even if you are painfully thin (which I’m not) the mid-section needs more coverage than a white t-shirt can provide. BUT- when I do this the cami always “sticks” to the t-shirt…then the t-shirt doesn’t hang right? If you have a strategy for this please share! Can’t wait for the white t-shirt post!
