SWEATER WEATHER: 5 Sweaters I LOVE (And You Will Too!)

GIRLS!  It’s finally cold in my neck of the woods! HOORAY!  The cold weather sure took it’s sweet time this year, but I’m so happy the temperatures finally decided to dip because it makes it so much more festive around the holidays!  I did not want to be looking at Christmas lights in shorts and tees.  GIVE ME ALL THE SWEATERS AND COZY THINGS.

Y’all know that I love being cozy at home, but let’s be real, I love being cozy all the time. #twentyfourseven So today I’m working with Nordstrom, and I’ve got 5 sweaters to show you.  5 sweaters that I love, and I know you will too!

SWEATER #1:  Side Button Sweater

The pattern and the colors on this sweater are what drew me to it online.  I didn’t even notice the sweet little scalloped neckline or the buttons down the side until I received it, so they were nice surprises!  It comes in 4 patterns, but this one was definitely my favorite.  I’m wearing it with regular ol’ blue jeans here, but I can’t wait to wear it with my grey jeans too (still on sale)!

It only has 3 reviews (didn’t have any when I ordered it), and they are kind of all over the place.  One reviewer describes it as itchy and boxy, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all.  I’m pretty sensitive to itchy sweaters, and this one didn’t bother me.  And although it is loose fitting, I found it flattering and not at all boxy.  One of other reviewers bought 3, so she was clearly a fan, even though she only gave it 4 stars.  The other reviewer rated it 5 stars, and I agree!

For size reference, I’m wearing a small.  If you don’t have a large chest, you will probably want to size down.  I’m wearing a 27 in the jeans and a 6 1/2 in the boots, both true to size.

SWEATER #2:  IT’S A BLARDIGAN SWEATER, Y’ALL!

GIRLS.

Let’s all take a minute.

Because #blardigansweater.

Seriously, ladies.  IT’S A BLARDIGAN SWEATER.

I noticed this new addition to the Nordstrom site on Wednesday and was so pumped to try it. I ordered it immediately and chose to do in store pick up (because otherwise it said it would be standard shipping), and mama couldn’t wait to get her hands on it.  Patience is not really my thing.  😉

I picked it up Friday at about noon, I got home from doing all my errands right at 2:00, and I slipped this baby on at 2:01.  And it stayed on my body all afternoon and evening long.  OH EM GEEEEEEEE AT THE COZY.

Now, I snapped this picture right when I got home.  I had just taken off my button up and threw this on.  But after taking the picture, I took off the leather boots, and I switched them out for my UGGs.  The only way I could have been more comfy than I was was if I wasn’t wearing pants.  #truth #pantsareoverrated

I LOVE the front pocket, I LOVE the thumb holes, and I OF COURSE LOVE that it’s blardigan fabric.  Things are just so soft when they are woven by angels.  😉  (It’s 75% nylon and 25% rayon just like the original blardigan, the baby blardigan, and the hooded blardigan).

For size reference, I sized up to a medium for a little room.  Now, if I had designed it myself, I would have changed two things:  I would prefer the neck to be smaller and for the length to be a bit longer.  Those two things would just up the cozy factor.  Still, I’m keeping the sweater.

SWEATER #3:  TUNIC SWEATER

When I saw this online, I was drawn to the color (which is weird, because I’m not really a purple person).   I immediately thought it would look great with my leggings and my over the knee black boots, and I loved how the look came together.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the sweater and an XS Petite in the leggings (make sure you size down in the leggings).

SWEATER #4:  Chenille Cardigan

I’ve been dying to add something chenille to my closet, but I just haven’t found the right piece yet.  Well, this still isn’t it for me.  It would TOTALLY be it, IF I WERE TALLER.  I just felt like it was too much fabric for my 5’4″ frame.

I still wanted to show you BECAUSE OH MY AT THE SOFT, and I think it could be great on you taller ladies.  This blush color keeps going in and out of stock, but it also comes in navy and grey.  I’m wearing a small.

SWEATER #5:  SWEATER TUNIC

So the exact camel color sweater I’m wearing just sold out, but there’s a super similar one still available!  I wore this look to church yesterday and was so comfy and cozy.  However, by the time we left church, the coat almost made me pass out.  It warmed up fast today!

I included this picture again just because I wanted to point out how my bag is just getting more and more beautiful with each passing day.  Seriously.

AND LADIES!  The coat now comes in navy!  Remember to SIZE UP in the coat.  I actually sized up two sizes in mine last year (I’m wearing a large in the picture above), but I hear that this year you only need to size up 1 size.

I also want to talk about THIS BABY.  I ordered one for myself weeks ago. I sized up, and even though I LOVED IT SO MUCH, I just couldn’t keep it (or show it to y’all) because it was really not flattering.  Think Abominable Snowman.  And even though I felt like the snowman, I almost kept it BECAUSE IT WAS JUST THAT COZY.  I had tried to hop back on and order a small to see if it was better, but they were all sold out. BUT THIS MORNING (at 8:00 a.m.), I saw that they were restocked..AND THERE WAS A NEW BLUSH PINK.  So now it’s on it’s way to me.  I’ll keep you posted.  I plan on wearing it with my stretchy jeans (only $64!) and my slim profile UGGs for the ULTIMATE IN COMFORT!
