This post is sponsored by Kohl’s and Collective Voice. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote products that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
I’ve got 2 outfits for y’all today. Both are super casual, both are super cute, and I’m happy to report that I’m wearing leggings and sneakers with both. These are my favorite types of outfits to wear when the weather cools off and I’m running around town, and I know y’all love these types of outfits too.
Tell me this entire outfit isn’t giving Vuori vibes.
You can’t, because it TOTALLY is.
And actually, the entire FLX brand gives Vuori. We’ll talk about that more at the end of the post, but you can click HERE to check out some other FLX pieces.
Y’all know that I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Vuori. I’ve been wearing it for years, I love telling everybody how amazing the brand is, and I stand by that. HOWEVER, I know that Vuori pieces are pricey, and I’m thrilled to say that I’ve stumbled upon some great options that are much more affordable.
We’re talking about the jacket first because I am OVER THE FREAKING MOON.
This jacket is very similar to my Vuori Cozy Sherpa Jacket that is $168.
It’s lightweight with a relaxed fit, and it’s not bulky at all! It’s lined with a warm fabric which I appreciate, because jackets lined with silky fabrics make me crazy because they are so cold when you first put them on!
It’s got a bit of a cropped fit (but it’s not cropped cropped if you know what I mean), and it has a stand-up collar that y’all know I love. Do you see the front pockets on the bottom half of the jacket? They fold over with snaps, so you can store things in them if you need to. But the great thing about the pockets is that they also have side slits, so they function like a normal pocket. Jackets without real pockets annoy the fire out of me, so I was happy to realize that these pockets were actual functioning pockets.
I’m wearing the “lilac bellflower”, but it also comes in beige, a dark olive green, and black.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I’m telling you, it is so cozy and so cute that you are never going to want to take it off. And again, it’s 1/4 of the price of the Vuori jacket I love. That’s quite a deal.
Can’t you almost feel how warm and cozy I am?
The leggings are LEGIT.
The material is so smooth and silky and they feel fantastic on. They’re like buttah. And y’all, even though I don’t personally own Lululemon leggings, I have felt them before, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say these are VERY similar. But these are on sale for under $40, and Lululmeon Align leggings are $98.
These are the perfect 7/8 length that hit right at the ankle, and I like the way that they smooth everything out, even in this lighter color. (If you prefer a more forgiving color in your leggings, don’t worry, they come in black!) I do want to mention that I’ve worn them a couple of times and washed them once, and I haven’t yet experienced any pilling that some of the reviews mention.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
And the sneakers are sooooooooo good, y’all.
On sale for only $54.99 right now, they are a total steal!
They are super lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and they just look good. These versatile Fresh Foam Arishi v4 women’s shoes from New Balance blend engineered cushioning with athletic style. A suede and textured mesh upper along with a textured logo and embroidered detailing create an elevated everyday look you can wear anywhere. A lightweight Fresh Foam midsole, breathable mesh upper, and durable rubber outsole make sure you arrive in comfort.
True to size for me. I’m wearing the “summer fog”.
In Outfit #2, I’m wearing the same leggings as above, but in black. The sneakers and the hoodie are the same, I just switched out the boucle jacket for this oversized shacket. And while the boucle jacket above was giving Vuori, this plaid shacket is giving Free People.
Officially, my plaid is called “emerald blue”, but it’s much more green with just a tiny hit of blue. It actually comes in tons of color options, but I like the “pink multi” and the “blue pink” the most.
Since this is junior’s sizing and I wanted an oversized fit, I ordered a medium (and even considered ordering a large). HOWEVER, I’m definitely returning for a small. You can’t really tell in these pictures, but the medium was huge on me. I have no doubt a small will still be plenty big. In fact, an x-small might be needed.
It’s heavy, it’s warm, it has pockets, and it’s definitely long enough for leggings.
Another super casual, but super cute look.
And just to further illustrate my statement earlier in the post that the FLX line at Kohl’s is giving Vuori vibes, check out the pieces below! Are you dying? BECAUSE I’M DYING. I’m straight up obsessed, and I’m definitely grabbing a quilted vest for myself. I just have to decide on the color! Do I go with the black, the khaki, or the deep green? I’m thinking the black.
If you look at the outfits below, they are completely comprised of FLX pieces, and I love every single look.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED…
Now that I’ve shopped at Kohl’s for over a year now, let’s review some things I’ve learned:
- The deals are incredible.
- They have items for every type of occasion you could ever imagine attending. From the gym to a wedding, they have you covered.
- Most importantly, I’ve already found some brands that I know work for me!
Sonoma (Sonoma is the brand of the bomber jacket I showed last month, and I’ve purchased several other Sonoma pieces as well. They have some really great closet staples.)
Lauren Conrad (The denim jacket I often show is from the Lauren Conrad collection, as are several dresses that I’ve featured over the last year.)
Nine West (Nine West is the brand of the booties and the jeans from last month’s post. There are lots of clothes, bags, and shoes from Nine West.)
FLX (FLX is the athleisure brand that I’ve highlighted a couple of times. And it’s the brand that I featured today in Outfit #1 and the collage. They have items for both men and women.)
Draper James, the clothing line by Reese Witherspoon always has tons of darling options. You’ve seen several of my favorites from the line!
And I suggest clicking HERE and browsing around for yourself! They have everything categorized so nicely, which makes shopping a breeze!
Oh, and don’t forget that Kohl’s now has Sephora. It’s super convenient to throw makeup or skincare in your cart too!
And as always, don’t forget that when shopping at Kohl’s you can get FREE SHIPPING with your $49+ purchase!
A huge THANK YOU to Kohl’s and Collective Voice for sponsoring this post.
