Shopping the 2015 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! EARLY ACCESS! FAVORITE FINDS!

Well.
TODAY IS THE DAY!
Somebody hand me a paper bag.
Somebody else remind me to breathe.
And I don’t drink coffee, BUT I WANT A COFFEE!
It’s opening day FOR CARDHOLDERS for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
(The sale goes live for everybody next Thursday, July 16th.)
Well….lucky me…I’m a cardholder!
And lucky y’all, I was at the sale yesterday (and I was a MACHINE)…. so I already have pictures of some AMAZING items to share with all of you!
Today I’m going to be showing you MY VERY FAVORITE items so far!

VIGOSS JEANS!

These Vigoss might just be my favorite to date!
They are stretchy, and soft, and fit like a glove.
They have a little bit of distressing, but not too much.
For the record, I did NOT like the white Vigoss jeans that are in the sale.  They were way too distressed.  Also…there are Wit and Wisdom jeans in the sale (the other MUST HAVE jeans that so many of y’all fell in love with this past December) that I will feature tomorrow!  Yay.

I would recommend sizing down in these jeans.  For size reference, I’m wearing a 26.

I’m wearing THESE booties.

I like the front of this years shirt even better than last years, but you need to know that it’s quite a bit longer in the back.  Like almost weird long.  They didn’t have petites in store, but I’m going to order it in petite and see what I think!  But for all of you that have always wanted this to be long enough to wear with leggings…well if you order the regular, it should be!

It’s soooooo much better than last year’s version!
I think it looks great with jeans, but it could also be worn with nice pants or a skirt for an office environment.  It comes in solid colors (including black), but it also comes in a myriad of patterns and colors!

 I got Frye boots last year, so I won’t be getting any this year…but I wish I was!
The color of these is perfection AND THEY HAVE A SIDE ZIPPER NOW which makes them super easy to get on and off.  (I pretty much had to fight with mine every time I put them on and took them off last year.)

I’m sad to report that THESE leopard flats weren’t that great.

They gaped on the sides of my foot and weren’t very comfy.  BOO!!!!!

Also, I will try them on next week when I go back to the mall, but I wasn’t in love with the Tory Burch boots.  Maybe I’ll change my mind after putting them on!

Other things you might want to be shopping for:
I try to buy 1 or 2 pair every time they are on sale!  I’ve been slowly replacing all of my underwear for the last 2 years, and I’m almost done! My favorite is the regular rise thong.  And if you are new to Hanky Panky…they are in fact One Size Fits All.  I know it doesn’t make sense, but it’s true!) Also, I’ve had a lot of questions recently because the washing directions sand to hand wash them.
UM, NO.
WHO IN THE WORLD HANDWASHES THEIR UNDERWEAR?
NOT ME.
I throw them in the wash with all of the other clothes, I have for 2 years, and they are just fine.

My favorites are the regular rise thongs and the bikinis.
 I got one last year, and I hope to get a new one every year during the sale!  It’s the best bra I’ve ever owned.  It’s also the most expensive bra I’ve ever owned, but I found out it’s SO WORTH the money.

I’m intrigued by THIS leopard print moto jacket.  I might give it a try!

    I can't sleep so I logged on, put some things in my cart, went to check out and found that Nordstrom has erased my saved payment info (must be an anniversary sale thing?) and I can't find my Nordstrom card. Urgh!!! It's 3:45 a.m. – I'm pretty sure my husband will think I'm certifiable if he hears me looking all over for that darn card.

    Must have shirt, KS glitter studs in gold and multi, Hanky Pankies (I stock up during sales too!), some Yummies (light support underwear that I recently learned about and love), Fryes on hold bc this round was nearly $300! Tell Shay and other fans of the Rose Salve that you can get a set of three for $11! Thanks for all your hard work!

    Blardigan Christmas for my people…I ordered all 4 colors! My sis-in-law's birthday is next month, so I picked up the glitter studs for her. Lots of other stuff, too. I saved so much. 😉 Also ordered some of the Whish Body Butter. I've never heard of it, but for $15 ($72 value) I figured it could be worth it. The small bottles not on sale had good reviews.

    Love all your picks! I also purchased the Dolce Vita over the knee boots and I absolutely love them! I have never had over the knee boots so I am super exited to add something new to my closet! Also, the Zella capri's in black with the mesh cutouts are super cute! I love these capris for working out!

    Won't be taking pictures in a dressing room as the closest Nordy's to me is over 2 hours away! Boo! But I have 3 blardigans in my cart (for gifts!)…I hesitated last year and they were GONE….need one for my mom, sister, and daughter for Christmas this year!!! And some hanky panky's for me so far.

I've been obsessed for years and I feel like I have a friend in you who also loves it!! 🙂 I don't have a Nordstrom card because my husband is a banker and won't let me. Boo!! The last couple of years I've bought the Caslon tunic…did you see any this year? Thanks for your post and I wrote down lots of item numbers for next week when I can order!

    You should still be able to access the sale even though you don't have the physical card yet. Mine was pre-loaded on the Nordstrom website before I even got my card. You have to login though on the website to access the pre-sale.

    I followed the Pinterest Told Me To game plan this morning (3AM was brutal, but so worth it!) for sure- KS glitter studs, striped blardigan, a new must have shirt (to add to my collection of 7!), Wit and Wisdom jeans, a shirt for my man, a Natori bra, a CAPE (I was really excited about that one), and 2 Kendra Scott necklaces, one of which was the Dylan, which I have been lusting after for months.     I got to the store at 8am and bought a Kendra Scott necklace, a North Face jacket, zella live in leggings, aqua Kate Spade earrings, a pair of hanky pankies to add to the collection, and the gray top with the super fun back! I might have done a little dance in my kitchen when I got home and pulled all of my purchases out of my bag. 🙂

My maybe dumb question is, are all the sale items available for the early access prices in store, as well as online? I'm thinking of running up there after work and trying a few things on — thanks so much!!

    Welp, I can never bring myself to Christmas shop in July (I'm one of those people who knocks it all out Black Friday), but I was all too happy to treat myself to the burgundy BP booties, black UGG booties (I bought them in tan last year and they are seriously indestructible), the Kate Spade studs and a Kendra Scott necklace. My total for all that was $270!!!! I already have two blardigans from the past two years 🙂

    Okay…I've started down the slippery slope and became a Norsdtrom debit card holder this morning. Bought blardigan said for my mom and sister for Christmas (but may have to give them earlier as my moms birthday was yesterday and my sister's is later this month).     I entered the store at 8am with your post pulled up on my phone and the catalog in hand. I didn't have an appointment but grabbed an associate to walk around with me and she was great. Started with glitter studs (go order more for Christmas gifts?!?!?!), then blardigan (intended on a neutral but left with cranberry), then hanky panky (two associates talked me in to trying but I got the ones with the wide sides), then Zella but the only ones on sale are the "slim fit" and I'm so not in to those and I'm a Zella-aholic, then over to POV where I found the must-have-blouse (returning because at home it wasn't as cute) and the Halogen T Shay recommended and I already have but returning that too since it looked funny at home and my favorite new drapey neck "sweatshirt" by Caslon (maybe?). Whew, you are a good/bad influence Sheaffer! Oh, I got some super cute polka dot PJ bottoms. I think they will be "house pants" in the winter.

    Okay, so you mentioned the Pleione tunic is strangely long — are you able to post a pic of how long it is? Would be great to see before ordering. Love last years version!

    The Kate Spade glitter studs — are they heavy? (I have the regular square studs in fluorescent pink and green and are very light). I just can't do heavy earrings.

    Immediately this morning I ordered 2 blardigans, the multi glitter earrings, Zella capris, Clinique makeup remover set, and Bella Vita Ronan booties. Those were the things I knew for sure I wanted. Now I can go back and look through everything to see what else I need. Thanks for all the suggestions. Last year I got blardigans for me, my mom and my aunt and we all love them but I'm not sure I would have even noticed them if you hadn't pointed them out.

    Sheaffer I also have a question about the BP booties. Online it says they run 1/2 size small. Did you find that?

      Hi Lisa! I'm not sure. I'm wearing a 7 in the pictures (they didn't have a 6 1/2 which is my true size), but the 7s seemed big….so I thought that a 6 1/2 would be perfect on me. I think they are true to size?!? xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

    Ok, now that I've shopped–here's an update 🙂 I ordered 2 blardigans, 2 Kendra Scott Dylan necklaces (been wanting one since you posted about them), the BP booties in black (and considering the chocolate ones too), and I think that's it for now. For some reason, adding things to my cart doesn't even phase me right now lol. This sale is AWESOME!!

      Spent so much money on everything but my favorite find was the N-Tessa Drusy Tassel Pendant Necklace by Sonya Renee. I bought it at the store in white this morning but once I got it home I loved it even more and ordered the gold online. It's so delicate and pretty and a great alternative to those wanting something a little smaller than Kendra Scott! Got the earrings too!!!

    I've been wanting to try Hanky Panky's for years now. I just went to order and it says "fits women size 4-14". I'm a size 0 so should I expect them to be falling off me? I was going to order 4 for $54 but am hesitant if they're not going to fit right.

      ORDER ORDER ORDER! You will not be dissapointed! Im narrow hipped too- 35" at fullest, and these do not fall off. i repeat- NO BAGGAGE! It is so bizzare, right? LIke, how do they do that? I wondered the same thing, but went for the low rise thong in a 5 pack last year, and they are the best things ever. You will love. I totally reccomend the low rise. Havent tried other rises or styles, but I like to wear my clothes lower on the top of my hip vs. up on my waist, so it wasnt even a question for me to buy the low rise. Thank you hanky panky for figuring out how to do this crazy one size thing!! 🙂

    Oh my.. I just bought 3 blardigans (2 for gifts), the Frye boots (heaven help me in justifying this purchase), the Vigross jeans, the darling fun in the back sweater, the navy half sweater, Northface pull over and the BP booties. I've slaved for the last week putting in our landscaping – so I could use my 'savings' to buy this week. I have callouses all over my hands and I can hardly walk – but I will look darling this fall. I have the gray jeans in my shopping cart and its on to round 2!!

    I LOVE your blog. I am dressed so much better because of you! I ordered my first blardigan this year and I have one question. I saw on the Nordstrom site that one customer left a review saying that it had lots it's softness after washing. Do you have any helpful hints for keeping it cozy and soft?

      Hi Sarah! Mine never lost softness! I wash mine and then dry it for around 10 minutes, and then I pull it out and let it air dry the rest of the way. Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
