Outfits Of The Day

My blog was down for most of the day on Friday (#serverissues), so I wanted to give this post another shot to be seen!  I hope all of you are enjoying your July 4th with friends and family! 

A couple of Wednesdays ago I did a post where I outfit planned 10 different outfits.  In blogger world these set ups are called “flat lays”.  Many of you say you love flat lays because you really enjoy seeing the outfits like this where you can easily see each piece, and I totally agree!

I already worked with Nordstrom to recreate some outfits in this post HERE for Part 1, and today is Part 2 of the series.  I’ll be recreating the 3 outfits below!

OUTFIT #1

Let’s kick off today with this navy eyelet off the shoulder number that you’ve already seen several times before (and it comes in white too).  NOW IT’S 40% OFF!!!!!!  This is the second time I’ve paired it with white jeans, but I mixed it up with the earrings and bag this time.

Here I am in the outfit! I’m wearing a small in the top, so I found it to be true to size.  The off the shoulder portion has a wide elastic band in it, and it does a really great job staying put off the shoulders.  It hides a tummy and just has a great overall fit.  It’s cut on the slim side, but it’s still quite comfy, and I feel like it’s very flattering.  The neckline is so pretty, and I love the little cut out in the front.  And who doesn’t love navy.  And eyelet.  #nobodythatswho

My turquoise earrings have become a summer favorite, and I’ve found that they really jazz up a lot of different outfits.

I’m so sad to report that the rainbow tote is sold out at this time.  I check for a restock every day, and will make sure I let you know immediately if it comes back in stock.  I do have some colorful options for you below in case you just can’t wait for a restock.

I’m wearing a 27 in the jeans, so they are true to size.  I would recommend sizing down if between sizes.

Here it is the first time I paired it with my white jeans.  Although you could wear this top with jean shorts and sandals for a casual look, I think it shines dressed up for for a girl’s night out or a date night!

And here it is casually with denim shorts….but I need to give you a heads up on these shorts .  They were my absolute favorites of the summer and the ones I was reaching for again and again.  But the last time I washed and dried them (I must not have dried them the other times) they totally fell apart.  They unraveled like crazy, and they just aren’t the same.  So sad!  Warning:  If you have these shorts, don’t dry them.  Wash and then hang to dry.

OUTFIT #2

This outfit in particular got a lot of attention on facebook and instagam, and I’ve gotta say, I was pretty excited to wear it myself.

Well, by the time I got around to wearing it, the above top (with the bow and the scallops) was sold out.  Also, I talked about this before, but I didn’t like that the bow was on the left shoulder.  I typically pull my hair over my left shoulder, and the bow made this impossible.

So, I found THIS top instead.  It’s the same fun gingham pattern, but the off the shoulder portion is on the opposite side.  AND it’s a better price point! I’m wearing a small, so I think it’s true to size.  I know it’s kind of unexpected to pair gingham with leopard, but I love the look.  And I cannot get enough of the leopard clutch.

And just in case you aren’t feeling the whole gingham with leopard combo, here’s another option for you with a colorful clutch!  This clutch is big and holds a ton.  And I love that it looks like I bought it while on a Mexican vacation!

OUTFIT #3:

This top has become one of my GO TOs.  I highly recommend it.  It looks great with denim shorts, blue jeans, white jeans, and grey jeans.  It’s just a really great top with some pretty feminine details!

Here I am in the recreated look.  But I decided to add these fabulous fringe earrings.  Totally a splurge, but I’ve loved having them.

I’m wearing a small in the top, so it’s true to size.  You can wear the top on or off the shoulder, and it truly looks great both ways.  The scalloped detailing and the eyelet are both so pretty!  And the top comes in a lovely lavender color as well.  I’ve washed these $39 shorts several times, and they’ve held up great.  I would recommend sizing up 1 size.

And here I wanted to show you that it’s still a great outfit even without the rainbow tote (since it’s sold out).

Here I am in the same top with white jeans.  These beaded teardrop earrings are light as a feather and only $20.

And here I wore it with my #pajamajeans.  If you don’t have these jeans yet, we might not can be friends anymore.  I just might have to draw the line.  It’s for your own good, really.   I truly do have your best interests at heart.  😉 They are soft, stretchy, and the perfect weight for summer jeans.  I’m wearing a 27, so they are true to size for me.  Size down if between sizes.
