Joe Fresh Clothing Review

Happy Monday, Girls!

Y’all know I typically talk about the same small handful of retailers around here.  What can I say, I like what I like (and what I’m familiar with).   But, when Joe Fresh reached out to see if I would be interested in talking about their fall line, it took me about 3 minutes of checking out their fall line to say YES!  I’ve talked about Joe Fresh a couple of times before….but after this last order I placed, you might start hearing about them on a more regular basis…because the stuff is just that good.

Since being introduced to the brand about 2-3 years ago, I’ve had a couple of favorite items.  If you are a regular reader, you already know that their ruched swimsuit bottoms are the only swimsuit bottoms I’ve worn for the last 2 years.  I also have a grey and white striped cardi from a couple of years ago that is in regular rotation over here.  My items have held up great after TONS of wearings and TONS of washings.

In my first outfit today I’m wearing one of their great basics:  an awesome pair of black jeans (that are ONLY $39!). I paired them with one of their pieces that has a little extra personality:  a leopard silk tunic that is 100% silk!  And it’s only $59, which is a great value for a real silk top!

For size reference, I’m wearing a 27 in the jeans, which is my regular size.  They were definitely a little snug, but I think losing a couple of pounds (and not sizing up) is definitely the answer.  DANGIT!  I’m wearing a medium in the silk blouse.  I knew it wouldn’t have much give since it was 100% silk, so I sized up to a medium so it wouldn’t pull. If you don’t have a large chest, I think you would be fine in your regular size.

Outfit #2 is made up of several of the basics they offer.  A tee, an awesome fly away cardi (that also comes in navy and red), and a pair of grey jeans.  For the last several months here on the blog, I’ve been doing my best to convince all of you that grey jeans are a needed component in your closet.  Well, this pair is ONLY $39!  They are a slim fit and have a frayed hem that I love.  Like the black jeans, these grey are a little snug in the 27, but I’m pretty sure if I lay off the tacos for a week or two, they’ll be just right.  I’m wearing a small in both the tee and the cardi.

I love the shape and fit of the fly away cardi, and I think it’s definitely a great basic that most of us could get a lot of use out of!  So, I thought I would show you the cardi mixed and matched in a different outfit.  I switched out the black tee for a grey tee, I switched out the grey jeans for a regular pair of blue jeans, and I added a leopard belt!

For about 3-4 years now, I’ve been singing the praises of my leopard belt, and this faux suede one is ONLY $19!!!  The classic slim washed jeans are 27s, just like the grey and the black ones above, but they fit me quite a bit better.  I can wear these, eat a meal, and continue to breathe.  🙂  So, I’m not sure if these run big…..or if the others run small…..but I have a 27 in all 3 pairs.  These are just quite a bit more comfy in my regular size.

Talk about a great basic at a fantastic price..this split hem sweater is ONLY $29!!!  I love the split hem, the v neck, and the little detail down the middle of the sweater.  This wine color is beautiful, but it comes in 4 other colors as well.  I sized up to a medium in the sweater.

In this next outfit, I paired a quilted plaid bomber jacket with a regular ol’ grey tee.  I sized up to a medium in the jacket, which is actually true to size for me, because I almost always require a medium in jackets and coats.

And some more essential basics…a striped tee….and a simple black cardi.  This cardi is very light weight and basically just t-shirt material.  I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a small in the cardigan.

And for my last outfit today, I thought I would pair the silk leopard shirt with the blue jeans.

Let’s talk about their shoes for a minute.  I ordered 2 pairs of boots, 1 in size 7 and 1 in size 6 because they only come in whole sizes.  Neither one of them worked for me, and I was totally bummed.  🙁  I’m almost always a 6 1/2, and I think that their shoes are best suited for somebody that isn’t a 1/2 size.  The 6s were too difficult for me to get my foot into, and although the 7s were easier to get into, they felt too big once they were on.  It’s too bad, because I wanted these leopard booties to work for me!!!!  I think they are so cute!  Click HERE to see all of their shoe choices.   I must be having a moment with leopard footwear right now, because I’m also drawn to these leopard loafers and these leopard heels.  If you are a whole size, you might want to give some shoes a try!
