What I’m Wearing: 8 Great Outfits!

Today I’m sharing some of my everyday outfits that I’ve worn over the past couple of weeks.  Most of the outfits are made up of items you’ve already seen before.  So, for those of you that already have these pieces, this post should serve as great outfit inspiration for you!

OUTFIT #1

Let’s start with one of the new pieces:  this camo jacket.  You ladies know I love my camo pants, so when I saw this jacket, I knew I had to try it!  I thought it would be fun to mix the camo pattern with the stripes, and I love the way it turned out.  I also plan on wearing this jacket with my outfit from Monday (the white jeans, grey sweater, and taupe boots).

If you are afraid of camo, DON’T BE!  It adds a fun punch to an otherwise regular outfit, and after you wear it a couple of times, I promise you will almost think of it as a neutral (just like we do leopard)!  #crazybuttrue  I actually have lots of outfits cooked up in my head for this jacket, so I think I might put an entire post together of camo jacket outfits!

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.  I ordered a medium because it says a medium is a 6-8, and I’m never a 2-4 in a jacket.  HOWEVER, I do wonder if the small would fit me a little better.  I’m wearing a small in the sweater.

OUTFIT #2

With some tweaks, here’s a similar outfit.

I just traded out the camo jacket for one of my military jackets, I traded out the ombre tassel for the animal print tassel (use the code STMTfall for 20% OFF!), and I switched out tall boots for booties.

OUTFIT #3

I bought this blouse awhile ago, and I never really found myself reaching for it.  When I got the animal print tassel necklace (use the code STMTfall for 20% OFF!), I knew I wanted to pair it with a neutral blouse so the necklace would shine, so I pulled the blouse out.  I’m not sure why it took me a second glance to fall in love with it..but I’m now officially in love (and it’s ONLY $39!)!   Now I find myself reaching for it constantly.  I’m wearing a medium, because a medium is 7-9.

Here’s the same outfit, I just traded out the grey jeans for a pair of regular ol’ blue jeans and pulled out my over the knee boots.

OUTFIT #5

I showed y’all this waterfall cardi in my Joe Fresh post a couple of weeks ago (click HERE for the post), and my goodness y’all, this has become a work horse in my wardrobe.  It is so easy to throw on over a t-shirt, and it has a really relaxed feel to it.  Paired with a favorite tee and a leopard belt, and you’ve got yourself an outfit!  The cardi comes in 2 other colors as well.

OUTFIT #6

My “like buttah” tee makes yet another appearance!  I’ve received no less than 25 e-mails from readers about this tee.  You are all amazed at how buttery soft it is.  You also love the overall fit and the high low hem.  I’m telling you, THIS TEE IS NEEDED IN YOUR CLOSET.  It comes in 6 solids and 4 striped combos.  I’m wearing a small and it’s roomy.  And speaking of things you need, these jeans are definitely one of my GO TO pairs right now.   Soft, stretchy, and just a good amount of distressing.  At 5’4″, I have to cuff them to wear them with booties, but they have a great frayed hem for all of you taller gals!  I’m wearing my regular size 27.

OUTFIT #7:

Okay.  It’s time for a Public Service Announcement.   The entire line of Gibson fleece tops is STELLAR. You can choose from crew neck, tie front, twist front, cowl neck, side tie, asymmetrical hem, and ballet neck.  And they are just too good.

I have a cowl neck from last year…and this year I added a twist front, a side tie, and a front tie to the mix.  To some, it might sound crazy that I have 3, but they all look very different.  Seriously.  They are all a wonderfully light fleece material that is oh so cozy without being too heavy.

These tops look great on their own, but they are PERFECT FOR LAYERING since they aren’t bulky.  And each style comes in a myriad of colors!  Oh, and perhaps most importantly….FLATTERING AS ALL GET OUT.

The tie front top is in the outfit below.  I’m wearing a small and have plenty of room. The site suggests sizing down, but I went with my regular small.  I’m also wearing my regular size 27 in the jeans, but the site recommends sizing down in these as well.

OUTFIT #8:

Like I said, I probably should be embarrassed, but I’m not.  This is one of the other 2 Gibson fleece tops.  It ties on the side and has a sweet little neckline (it kind of folds over itself).  What I like about this side tie top is that the slits on the side don’t go too high.  I’ve tried several tops like this from different brands, and the slits go above the waistband of my jeans and show skin.  UM, NO THANK YOU.  I’m wearing a small.
