I’m going to do a “Here’s What 3 Things I’m Obsessed With Right Now” post.
(Basically, I’m combining Big Mama’s Fashion Friday with Andy Cohen’s “3 Things I’m Obsessed With” segment.)
I’m a total hack, but it should be a lot of fun.
So… drum roll please….I know you are on the edge of your seats….
Here’s What 3 Things I’m Obsessed With Now:
1) Essie Miss Fancy Pants polish
It is a nice neutrally (it’s a word) grey and I love it!
It looks good on short manicured nails AND toes.
Years ago my once healthy and shiny hair started looking not so healthy and not so shiny. It was a sad time for me and my hair. My mom asked her hairdresser (mom is ALWAYS willing to do whatever she needs to do to help improve her daughter’s appearances…….am I right Conner?) ;), and she recommended Redken All Soft products. I have NEVER used anything else sense. It’s a little pricey, but it is worth EVERY PENNY.
And let’s be real, do we really want to assign a monetary value to the importance of shiny hair? I’m thinking most girls would cut back on their grocery bill if it meant their hair could be shinier (see…that’s a good word).
Now, let me save you some dough and tell you how and where to buy it. I only buy it at Ulta when they do one of their “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” specials. And, when I do that, I typically get 1 shampoo and 2 conditioners because you don’t have to use as much of the shampoo and it lasts longer. Plus, if you are on Ulta’s mailing list, you can use one of their $3.50 off coupons at the same time. The 1 free and the $3.50 off makes it affordable! I also buy the liter sizes instead of these tiny little things (but I couldn’t find a pic of the liters).
So……the nail polish is a new obsession…… I’ve been obsessed with the lip gloss since last season of American Idol…..and the shampoo has been more of a necessity than an obsession for at least the last 5 years.
That about sums it up.
WAIT!
Before you leave…..
I would LOVE comments on nail polishes and lip glosses that YOU are obsessed with!
I am always on the look-out for a new favorite polish and gloss, so please….
talk amongst yourselves.
Happy Friday Everybody!
See you again on Monday with a new outfit!

I LOVE Essie polish colors but have a hard time getting them to not streak, especially when using lighter colors. You can always see the brush strokes no matter how much or how little polish is on the brush. OPI doesn't seem to do this but I'm in love with the Essie colors. Got any suggestions?
I do know Essie 3-way glaze is a miracle worker!! I use it as a base and top coat and makes my polish last twice as long.

Oooooh! Cassie – I really like the tip about the Essie 3-way glaze! I will be picking that up this week for sure! This is actually the first Essie polish I've ever bought, and I'm not having the streaking problems with it. I do have a friend that says the same thing that you do though. Thanks for the tip!!!

Never even thought to buy grey nail polish! It looks amazing! Such a great tip!I tend to like Opi nail polishes, too…so my mission now is to find it in grey.
I have used the NARS gloss before and it is divine!Very shiney, not too sticky…it's my preferred gloss too. I wish it made me look like JLo! 😉

Thank you for the shampoo tip! My hair is a mess right now so I can't wait to run out tomorrow and buy it.
Sheaffer says
Hey Kasady! Let me know what you think after you use the shampoo!

I LOVE Essie polish as well. Smokin' hot is a great color too. As far as gloss, I just got a sample size of urban decay cool and plump lip gloss and I really like it. Hope you do this every Friday:)

I used to only buy OPI polish, but I have officially switched to Essie!

I bought an OPI gray last fall. My mom thought it was "cute" that I painted my toes a Hallooweeny color :). Anyways – its called French Quarter For Your Thoughts. And BTW, I've always wanted the job of naming nail polish colors – how fun 😉
