Happy Wednesday, Ladies!
I’m not sure what the weather is like in your neck of the woods…but in mine…IT’S STUPID HOT.
Like aggressively hot.
And it has been for weeks and weeks.
And it hasn’t rained since May, so there’s that.
Still, I’m throwing caution to the wind today and talking about a sweater.
IMPORTANT: If you spend $150 at Social Threads today, you will get 25% OFF anything from their Fall Preview page, including today’s sweater! Use the code FALLSALE at checkout. Also today, the ladies at Social Threads are going to surprise 10 people who order today with a Social Threads gift card!
Now try not to pass out from the heat and the thought of wearing a sweater, and please just listen.
YOU NEED THIS SWEATER.
Believe it or not, sometime in the future, it’s not going to feel like the surface of the sun when we walk out the front door.
AND I’M GOING TO BE READY.
I tried to buy it last year, but it was constantly out of stock. I wasn’t going to let that happen again this year.
BECAUSE. THIS. SWEATER. IS. FABULOUS.
And it’s not just me that thinks so, go read the reviews.
*Sidenote: Even if you don’t want to spend the $150 to get the 25% OFF, YOU STILL NEED THIS SWEATER. AT right under $60 it’s still an incredible value.
It can easily be dressed up or down, and I seriously think it’s MUST HAVE status.
This dolman style sweater features a slouch neck and stylish fitted sleeves and hem. It will make the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. Wear with your favorite denim or leggings.
The fit is so forgiving, and you can style it several ways:
- You can pull it up and fold it under (like I’ve done on the left here). This makes it look like it’s tucked in, but you don’t have to worry about it looking bulky.
- You can pull the banded hem down around your hips and wear it kind of slouchy.
- You’ll see later in the post how you can pull it all the way down and wear it with leggings (depending on how tall you are of course).
There’s so much I love about this sweater. I like the slouchy neck a lot. It adds style and personality to the sweater, but it’s not restrictive at all. The sleeves are dolman (which I love), but the arms are fitted, so it keeps it from looking sloppy. You can also see below how I give the sleeves a nice thick cuff so they aren’t too long and baggy on me.
For size reference, I’m wearing the small/medium.
It says “hand wash”, but I read several reviews from people who said they don’t hand wash it. And thank heavens for that, because I don’t hand wash ANYTHING. One reviewer said, “It also washes well in the washing machine. Just make sure you lay it flat to dry. It does keep its shape and doesn’t shed or clump up.” My plan is to wash it with similar items (not towels), pop it in the dryer for like 5 minutes, and then hang to dry on one of my velvet hangers.

And here’s the same sweater in pink!
It comes in 11 colors. I swear I could own this sweater in 5 colors and not even feel weird about it.
I’m wearing it with a nice pair of slacks here and in the picture above, so you can see that it really is perfect for the office.
These are the Wit and Wisdom trousers that I started screaming about last month. I’ve always loved the work pants that Wit and Wisdom does, but every year they release a style that’s a little bit different. I think this year’s style is the best one yet. They are crazy flattering and uber comfortable. I’m telling you, they are soooooooooooo stretchy and they are the most comfy work pants you will EVER wear. For real.
Now, the sad news here is that most sizes are currently sold out. I would suggest sizing down in these pants, and if the size you need is available, I suggest you grab them. If not, cross your fingers that they will bring them back.

As I said, the sweater is easy to dress up or down, so I wanted to show it styled a couple more ways.
Here are both colors with my favorite boot cut jeans. They are super stretchy, incredibly comfortable, and super flattering! I would recommend sizing down 1.
You can see on the left I have the sweater bloused over the banded hem, and on the right I have the banded hem turned under.

And the pink. Turned under on the left, bloused up over the banded hem on the right.

Okay, I’ve got one more way to style the sweater for you today!
If pulled all the way down, I LOVE it with my faux leather leggings. (If you don’t have these leggings, you need to size up 1 from your regular leggings size.)
This is obviously a much more casual look.
I’m wearing a medium petite in the leggings, and they are the best length for me with sneakers.
I. LOVE. THIS. LOOK.
Are you traveling anywhere this fall or winter? This would be the perfect outfit for your travel day!

And look how cute the sneakers are! More on the sneakers in a minute.

Here’s the pink sweater with the same leggings and a different pair of sneaks.

This bell sleeve sweater is another good one that’s also on the Fall Preview Sale page. It’s incredibly soft. Like kitten soft. The sleeves are 3/4 with a subtle bell shape. They’re definitely a bell, but they aren’t too overwhelming. I’m wearing a small.

Okay, so let’s talk about these sneakers for a minute. They aren’t from Social Threads, but they still deserve some attention.
I actually am going to have an entire post dedicated to them next week, so think of today as a preview.
These are the sneakers I’m wearing with the leggings outfits above.
They are quite obviously designer inspired (I think we all know the designer brand I’m referencing), but these sneakers are quite a bit less expensive. Like we’re talking 1/5 of the cost.
And I have to say.
I kinda love them.
Like a lot.
SIZING INFO: I ordered my normal size, and they’re fine, but I actually think I would prefer a 1/2 size down. I haven’t tried a 1/2 size down though, so I’m not totally sure if I should recommend sizing down or not. If you are often between sizes, go ahead and size down.
This is the pair I’m wearing with the pink sweater, and it’s the more neutral of the pair.
I love everything about this sneaker, except for the shiny navy portion on the heel of the shoe. I wish it were a matte black or even just the neutral “suede” on the front of the shoe, but I’m willing to overlook it because I like everything else about the shoe.
These are considered the “grey”, but they look much darker on the site than they actually are. I think my pictures are much more representative of the sneaker you will receive.
As a reminder, here is how they look styled in an outfit…

This is the other pair. It’s officially called the “snake”. This is the pair that I’m wearing with the pink sweater above.
This pair comes with these black laces in them, but an additional pair of neutral laces was also included in the box. The additional laces are the same color as the ones that come in the other pair. I think it’s nice to have options.
I think they are SO CUTE styled in this outfit!!

There’s also a super neutral pair HERE.
Okay, that’s it for today y’all!
You know I must think a sweater is really great if I’m willing to devote almost an entire blog post to it when it’s over 100 degrees outside.
The sweater really is that good.
And remember, if you spend $150 on items from their Fall Preview page, you can use the code FALLSALE to get 25% OFF! Everything you see below is in the Fall Preview!
That’s all for today, y’all! See you back here on Friday!

I love Social Threads, but it’s a spot I often forget about! Sounds like a great sale! And that sweater is CUTE!

Yesssssss! That sweater is amazing!!!!

I think I DO need that sweater! I would never have noticed it if I just saw it on the model on the Social Threads site, but your post helped me envision it on me (I’m only 5’2″ and I would have thought it was too oversized.) Now I’m just trying to decide between Latte, Ruby or Navy. Seriously considering getting all three!
Sheaffer says
Meredith, I get the whole 3 thing. I want another color too. 😉
Meredith says
Update: I ordered all three. 🤣

Did we just become best friends? 😉
