Today you ladies are going to get to see 4 outfits….all with my new pair of $59 frayed hem jeans. As you’ll see, they’ve been in constant rotation since I got them about two weeks ago. Some might think it’s overkill, but I just think it’s smart laundry management. 😉 And I know all of you have been in the same place. After you get a great pair of new jeans, I bet you wear the heck out of them too! I’ve actually worn them more than 4 times in the last 2 weeks, I just didn’t grab pictures every time. Now, before you read the rest of the post, you need to make sure you know the story about my LV bag and new cross body strap in last Friday’s post.
Also, TODAY IS TRIPLE POINTS AT NORDSTROM! So, if there have been things hanging out in your cart or on your wish list…today is the day!
OUTFIT #1 for MALL AND ORTHO APPOINTMENT
On this particular day, I was running to the mall, the grocery store, and the orthodontist. Yes, I said the orthodontist. I’ll go in detail on that in another post, but because I was going to be running around all day, I wanted to be comfy, but look cute. This outfit definitely fit the bill! Now sadly, there are only 2 sizes left in the sweater in this awesome green color….but it appears to be fully stocked in the beautiful blue and bold red! I actually love all the colors, and the little side ties on this sweater are just the cutest. I’m wearing a small in the sweater, so I think it’s true to size.

So let’s talk about these jeans. I wanted a pair of spring and summer jeans, and these looked perfect when I was looking online for several reasons: the light faded wash, the ankle length, and the frayed hem. I’m 5’4″, and I love how all types of shoes work with them: wedges, flat sandals, flats, converse, sneakers, etc….! And the ankle hem shows off the footwear. These jeans practically scream SUMMER! And they are ONLY $59. For size reference, I’m wearing a 27, which is true to size for me. However, if you are between sizes, I would definitely suggest sizing down. And I cannot tell you how comfy these are. Remember the Vigoss jeans from last year that I termed “pajama jeans”? Well, these deserve that title as well! Just take a look at them!
SUMMER JEAN PERFECTION!

Now let’s focus on the bag strap I got to transform my shoulder bag into a cross body. It was ONLY $45, it’s spring and fresh, and it basically got me a whole new bag! I’m wearing the buckle in the front here, but you’ll see later in the post that you can also wear the buckle in the back if you so choose. I got these exact earrings at Nordstrom (although they appear to be sold out now in the color combo below), but they are also available HERE.

OUTFIT #2: ERRANDS AND THEN OUT TO DINNER WITH FRIENDS
I ran all over town on Friday morning, came home and worked, and then we met friends out for dinner that night! It was pretty warm all day with a bit of a breeze that night and this sweater was perfect. I loved the nautical look of the sweater, and the rope lace up ties down the side of the sweater really make it fun and different. I wore a cami under it, and I think most of you will want to do the same. I’m wearing a small in the sweater, so I think it’s true to size.

I mean! Look how cute the rope detail is!

After posting my bag last week, I got several questions about the exact name of the bag. I know this is crazy, but I can’t remember! While searching for the name of it, I stumbled upon Luxe|DH. Have y’all heard of this site? I’d seen other bloggers talk about it, but I’d never paid attention to it. Well, it’s a site dedicated to selling pre-owned luxury and designer handbags. We’re talking LV, Burberry, Celine, Chanel, Fendi, etc…. And girls, yesterday I fell down a rabbit hole looking these gently used designer bags (they have a ratings system for quality, and they show you several pictures of each bag – including the interior). They have an Authenticity Guarantee and you can click HERE to read their Return Policy. They even have a Buy Back Progam. This is in no way sponsored, I just want to tell y’all about it AND ask you if any of you have had any experience with it?!? I’ve read quite a few reviews, and the majority of them are very favorable and highly complimentary of both the bags and the customer service. So let’s look at some of their bags that are currently available.
THIS bag is similar to mine. The rings on the side would allow a guitar strap to be attached if you chose!
THIS Delightful PM bag is very similar to mine as well.

OH MY GOODNESS. THIS cherry Pallas bag is GORGEOUS.
I mean, maybe I should order one and call it “research”? YES? I’m loving THIS one for Spring and Summer.
OUTFIT #3: VOLUNTEER AT SCHOOL, WORK FROM HOME, AND OUT TO A QUICK LUNCH
As you can see, it’s not just my jeans that I can’t quit….I can’t quit the bag either. I literally can’t stop carrying it.

I think THESE block heels have been around since The Anniversary Sale, but I just got them for myself. And they are truly fantastic. The neutral color color is gorgeous, the height is just what I was looking for (tall, but still easy to walk in), and they really are incredibly comfortable. I’m so excited about this addition to my closet! You’ll see me in them on Friday, but I wanted to talk about them today just in case they were to go out of stock again between now and then.
See y’all back here on Friday!

I bought the jeans last week and am feeling pretty smart right now. I’ve been wearing them constantly as well. And you can’t beat the price!

You are always so cute! I tried those New Balance shoes but I cannot get past them looking like grandpa orthopedic shoes, I just can’t pull them off.
Sheaffer says
I laughed out loud! I don’t think of them that way at all! I think they are sporty and hip, and I love mine so much! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I got those Hinge heels in the black and I looooove them! Thinking of getting another color but I really wear black the most. I do love that neutral/taupe though!
Monica says
Grandpa orthopedic shoes! Oh my heavens!!! That’s hysterical – because at first I thought – yuck and then I went back and double yucked! Sheaffer has a knack of pulling them off though!
You are adorable – as always!
Shawnee says
I bought the jeans about a month ago and I wont even tell you how many times a week I wear them!! They are my favs for sure and I’m thinking about ordering another pair.
Maura says
Love the green – so obsessed with the frayed hem as well on the jeans! But, a new strap on a precious Louis??? I don’t think I could do that…!
🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi, Maura! I felt weird about it at first too, but then I felt like a genius! I got a new bag for like $45!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Karen says
I love the look of the Hinge sandals but being an “almost” middle aged woman the 3-3/4″ heel scares me a bit. What’s your take on that Shaeffer? For now, I’m off to see if I can’t get me a pair of those fringed jeans.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Karen! It depends on how you style them! I think as long as you aren’t pairing them with really short dresses or skirts, you should be fine! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Laura says
Are the jeans low rise? Love them and your blog!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Laura! I should have mentioned that, so sorry! They are a mid rise! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jenna says
Oh yes the orthodontist, I’m in braces at 32 for the first time in my life! Can’t wait to get these suckers off and whitening and smile with this teeth all day long 🙂
Terri says
My favorite jeans are from Loft about 3 years ago. Modern Skinny, size 8 (29) I recently ordered the raw hem Modern Skinny and the legs are SO tight! I even went to the store and went up a size… legs SO tight.
How are the legs on these jeans? They look so cute and I need some frayed hem jeans but…
Sheaffer says
Hi, Terri! There’s a good amount of stretch in the AG jeans, so I think you will be totally fine! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
April says
Bought the jeans. Just got them and LOVE them! They are so comfortable and the frayed him is perfect. Also, I have to second that you are a genius about the cross body strap on your LV. I have a similar bag and would have never thought to try this. I did and am totally stoked! Thanks for the tip! You are right – almost like a new bag for $45 ????????
Sheaffer says
YAY! April, we are both so smart. 🙂
Diana says
Hi Sheaffer. I don’t think I have ever commented before. First thanks for all the great tips you have given me since I started following. I have blardigans, bras, jeans, etc. that I love because of you. Now these jeans. I am a 6 and ordered a 28. I think they tend to stretch out and I have to pull them up a good bit. Do you find this to be the case with yours? I am thinking I need to go down a size. Any thoughts since you’ve had them longer now?
Sheaffer says
Sounds like you need to size down, Diana!!!! Thanks for the sweet words! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
