WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO

We spent a good portion of Thanksgiving week at the ranch.  We had the best time relaxing as a family.  It’s my very favorite place to be.

There hasn’t been much time for t.v. watching over here these days, and y’all know I’m not reading.  But I’m definitely making time for A Million Little Things and This is Us. The end of last night’s This is Us episode dang near broke my heart!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

Carter and Chris are upstairs having a foosball tournament.  So I’m listening to them talking smack to each.  Carter just said, “You’re going down, fella.” Ha!

WHAT I’M WEARING

Y’all are just getting this 1 outfit today!  I’ve been at home in pajamas A LOT.  And it’s been glorious.

Did y’all see my Old Navy post last week?  This sweater has been on repeat!  I’m wearing a small and it’s still oversized.

Whenever I post this bag, I always get lots of questions about it.  I think my LV is called The Sully, and the colorful cross body strap is one that I added to it last year.  It was Chelsea28 from Nordstrom, but it sold out last year and never restocked.

I’m playing catch up with a lot of home stuff, and I’m hoping that I get back on track this weekend!

BEST ELF ON THE SHELF IDEAS

I STRUGGLE with this.  We forget to move Tootie all the time, so I can’t wait to check out all of the suggestions!  Yep, our elf’s name is Tootie.  Ha!

To make it easier on myself, last year I headed to Michael’s and bought lots of little props in the doll house section.  Totally random, but I would use the props to make the days more exciting. Other easy favorites:  place him in the freezer and talk about how he must have been hot (this happens at least twice), toilet paper the bathroom, and throw undies on the tree and place the elf in the branches (this one was hysterical!).  He typically brings a Gingerbread house one day for us to decorate and he also leaves a note with ingredients telling us to make cookies for Santa and a birthday cake for Jesus.  Another big hit was when Tootie had a plate with Skittles placed all around the border with a note that said “fill the middle of the plate with hot water and watch the rainbow”.  That was a fun one!
