Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m sharing your Top 12 picks from April.
Not surprisingly, many of y’alls top picks are in my top picks for the month as well. All 12 items (13 actually!) I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet (or already owned), and because of that they are items that you will continue to see on the blog. And what’s extra great about this favorites list is that 7 of the items are UNDER $100, some are under $80, and a couple are under $50. The picks that made this month’s top list are from Nordstrom, Zappos, U Beauty, and Wayfair!
So, what were our favorites for the month? Let’s look and see…
1) swimsuit / 2) pointelle sweater / 3) U Beauty Neck Sculpt / 4) bracelet stack / 5) raffia buckle sandals / 6) gauze set / 7) beaded hoop earrings / 8) floral dress / 9) Agolde denim shorts / 10) glass storage containers / 11) longer denim shorts / 12) white cotton dress / 13) embroidered shift dress

1) swimsuit / I ordered this swimsuit the second I saw it. I mean, how could I not. I’m a 1-piece girly and there’s no questioning that this suit is absolutely darling.
I felt confident I was going to love it, and I was right! The blue, the polka dots, the bandeau, and the little halter straps… I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.
It came in over the weekend, and it is seriously adorable and a great fit!

2) pointelle sweater / This sweater has rave reviews, and I’m so happy to have added it to my closet. I’m in the “pale teal”, but it comes in 6 color choices, and I really love the “dusty pink” too. This sweater is special. Just look at all of the pretty details! Y’all know I love an elbow-length sleeve, the scallops are so feminine, and the pointelle stitching is just lovely. I think it looks great worn casually with cream denim, but it’s definitely nice enough to wear with slacks at the office too.
We all know wide leg jeans are very on trend, and these cream wide leg jeans are so good. They’re Kut from the Kloth (a denim brand we know and trust), and I really like the stretch and overall fit. They’re definitely wide leg, but they still manage to be flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.

It’s cute with shorts too (as seen below), but it’s definitely nice enough to wear to the office as well.

3) U Beauty Neck Sculpt / So today we are talking specifically about the neck cream, but you can use the code SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF of anything on the U Beauty site! I talked about this product for the first time earlier this month in a Mother’s Day Collage, and lots of y’all ordered it. I’m of course hoping y’all are loving it as much as I am.
Because here’s the deal… we all know that our necks realllllllllllly show our age, but we often neglect our necks…so I’ve decided that I’m going to start really paying attention to mine and doing everything I can to both prevent and even reverse some aging signs. Now I will say, my neck isn’t really a big problem area for me yet, but I want to keep it that way!!!
Here’s my BEFORE picture. Not bad, but definitely some of what they are calling “tech neck” with those two defined lines that I highlighted with the arrows. (Pay no attention to my sunspots on my chest. Nothing to see here.)
I hope to be able to show a really good personal AFTER picture in a couple of months! I am already seeing some initial results with the skin on my neck appearing firmer and smoother! Now I’m just anxious to see if the couple of horizontal lines I have across my neck will start slowly diminishing.

If you’re algorithm is anything like mine, you’ve been seeing this brand all over your feed. It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but all of the before and after pictures I see are absolutely incredible and make me think the products are well worth the price. I actually just ordered the Super Tinted Hydrator and can’t wait to review it soon too. It’s make-up and skincare in one!
Back to the neck cream…
It’s a targeted serum to visibly lift and smooth skin on the neck, chest, and jawline. The SCULPT Neck + Décolleté Concentrate helps contour and soften the look of fine lines while visibly improving the appearance of thin, crepey skin—for comprehensive, age-defying results.
AND LOOK AT THESE RESULTS! My lines don’t appear to be that deep, so I’m very hopeful for great results!

And although this next product didn’t appear in April’s Top 12 because I just talked about it for the first time on Monday, I still wanted to mention it again right now because the SHEAFFER20 code works for it too!
Y’all. I can tell you with 1000% certainty that my mom will want to try this product. It’s a revolutionary arm serum with visible firming, smoothing, and anti-aging benefits. This advanced body serum sends nutrients to the skin to enhance skin vitality and energize its appearance for visibly improved texture and elasticity.
My arms aren’t really a problem area for me yet either, but I’m committed to taking proactive steps to prevent future problems. You know what they say… An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
AND SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THESE RESULTS!

4) bracelet stack / Both of these stacks appeared in lots of my outfits last month, but it’s the colored set that made the Top 12!
multicolor bracelet set / gold bracelet stack

5) raffia buckle sandals / This is my 2nd year (or maybe even 3rd?) with these sandals. They keep bringing them back because they’re just that good. I already tried to buy a new pair of sandals this year, but so far I haven’t found any I like as much as these. They’re totally casual enough to wear with cut-offs, but they also look great with a dress!
They are stylish, comfortable, and the raffia detail coupled with the buckle is such a fun combination. I’m wearing the “cuoio” which is a nice and rich brown. True to size for me.

Some outfits with the sandals with shorts, pants, and dresses…
This striped flutter sleeve top is absolutely DARLING. The bold stripes on the body, the banded hem, and the pin striped flutter sleeves are all fabulous. This top really makes a statement, but it does so without being totally over the top. It’s a super soft tee, but the sleeves totally elevate it. They are so special!
I would suggest sizing down in this top because it’s very roomy. I’m in a medium and there’s a lot of extra fabric (even though you can’t really tell in this picture). The arm holes are also too big, which is another reason I think a small would be better on me.

This top was one of my Top 3 personal finds last month, so I ended up getting it in white too. It’s a super cute fit, and I know I will reach for it all the time. You couldn’t really see all of the pretty details on the black top, but you can see them all on this classic white! It’s tailored, but totally feminine and girly. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These olive wide leg jeans are fabulous. They are incredibly comfy and have quite a bit of stretch. They’re called “wide leg”, but I think they are more of a straight leg, which I actually think makes them more flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. I’ll style these pants with solid white, solid black, light pink, and stripes… and that’s just off the top of my head.
Peter Pan collar blouse / olive wide leg jeans / colorful beaded necklace / coin toggle necklace / bracelet stack / raffia buckle sandals

The sandals look great with a dress too…
THIS DRESS IS ADORABLE. It’s a brown and white gingham with a smocked top and a tiered bottom. AND THE SLEEVES (which you can see in the next picture) are absolutely adorable.
dress / similar denim jacket / chunky multicolor necklace / gold bracelet stack / clear wedges

See what I mean about the sleeves? Or maybe I should say straps?
They are wide with a double ruffle, and I love them. Also notice the teeny tiny pleated ruffle across top of the smocked bodice. This dress feels like pajamas, but it’s so stinkin’ cute I can hardly stand it.
I would suggest sizing down. I most often wear a medium in dresses, but I knew this one would be forgiving, so I ordered a small and I’m glad I did.

This long sleeve tunic top is easy, breezy, and fabulous. It’s a lightweight linen blend and classic J. Crew. It is low cut and a tiny bit sheer, so don’t plan on wearing to work unless it’s with a cami. Now let’s talk sizing. I would say that you should definitely size down 1 size and maybe even consider sizing down 2 sizes. I’m in a small here, but I’m actually going to return it for an x-small (feeling confident that it will still be roomy). I think the black is so chic, but it also comes in a pale pink, ivory, and navy. You can see on the site how the lighter colors are quite sheer.
AND Y’ALL. These shorts!!! First, let’s talk about the color. I’m wearing the “crimson cinders” here and think the color is so vibrant and fun! They also come in white, a sandy neutral, and an olive green. Based on other reviews I sized up to a 28, and I’m glad I did. In fact, I feel like I might could even do a 29. They are on the shorter side, so I feel like another size up would give me a little extra room in the waist and a little extra length.

6) gauze set / I’M OBSESSED. Like FULL BLOWN obsessed. I’m sad to report that it’s almost sold out in black, but it now comes in a dusty pink color too. And the set is NOW ON SALE!
This outfit feels like pajamas, but you will walk out the door looking totally put together in this cutie little set! It’s playful and a little flirty (the shorts are short), and the ruffles on the blouse and v-neckline make it all feel very feminine. The set is 100% cotton with a gauzy texture and a swingy fit. The set is absolutely darling worn together (obviously), but I’m about to show you how the pieces are great worn separately too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I could have done a small.
Turquoise is having a moment, and this particular turquoise necklace is fabulous. It’s big, it’s chunky, it’s bold, and it’s totally a statement piece and an outfit maker. It combines braided suede with the turquoise stones for a rustic but polished look! LOVE.

7) beaded hoop earrings / These earrings appear in so many of my outfits this month. You probably need them. 😉

8) floral dress / I first showed you this dress in an outfit planning collage.
dress / bag / sandals / earrings / colorful bracelet stack

And then I liked it so much that I decided to order it. The floral pattern is so playful, and I’m in love with the vibrant colors. It’s kind of like a paisley floral, and it’s just plain adorable. The little tie at the waist can be cinched in, creating a nice waistline. It’s got pockets and full functional buttons all the way up and down. I love the subtle puff sleeves, the waistline, the soft gathers from the waist down, and the length. It’s just a great little dress. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I think it would also be great worn super casually with sneakers and a denim jacket or even with a cardi thrown over the shoulders.
floral mini dress / coin toggle necklace / gold bracelet stack / multicolor bracelet set / raffia shoulder bag / clear wedges

I actually fell more in love with this next dress even though y’all liked the above one more.
I give this dress with the sweet bluebonnet pattern 5 SOLID STARS. The tie waist, the ruffle collar, and the covered buttons are all fabulous. It’s 100% cotton, lightweight, flattering and so easy to wear. It’s not lined, so some of you might want to wear a 1/2 slip with it, but I think I’m good without a slip. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I think you can size down if between sizes in this one.

9) Agolde denim shorts / Was it 2 or 3 years ago that the AGolde denim shorts first came on the scene? EVERYBODY was wearing them. I tried them, but I didn’t love them then. I don’t remember exactly why, I just didn’t love the way they fit my body. Well, I decided to give this year’s AGolde denim shorts a whirl and I’m a big ol’ fan. They aren’t tight at all, and they have a perfectly relaxed fit. The 4 1’2″ inseam makes them a great length on my frame. For size reference, I did size up to a 28 and I’m glad I did.
Y’all. This ruffle sleeve top is so sooooooooooooo good. The double ruffle sleeves, the vibrant colors, the split neck, the overall fit… I LOVE IT ALL. And I know it looks like Tuckernuck or Anthro, but it’s not. And y’all are going to be blown away (in the best way possible) by the price tag. It comes in 6 total color options, and I like everything about it so much that I’m considering getting a 2nd color. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

10) glass storage containers / It is spring, y’all! And for me that means it was time to do a little spring cleaning and get some of the spaces in my home in shape. Every year I focus on a couple of areas and buy several items that help me get AND STAY organized. A couple of years ago I revamped the pantry, and it made such a difference in my everyday life. And guess what! It’s still organized! Last year I revamped the laundry room, and it still looks great too!
This year I’m just doing what I can to make some small spaces more functional.
A couple of weekends ago I decided to revamp my Tupperware cabinet. I wanted to do this for several reasons. First of all, I’m done with storing our food in plastic containers. DONE. All of the microplastics talk has been freaking me out for years, so I finally did something about it. I’d bought a couple of glass containers already, but I decided I needed an entire set so I could throw all of the plastic containers away.
Look how excited I am for my new set. 😉 And the set is NOW ON SALE! We’re talking 60% OFF!

The set gets you 12 glass storage containers (of varying sizes) and 12 air-tight lids. There are 328 reviews, and 278 of those are 5 STARS.

I’ve gotta tell ya… I FEEL INCREDIBLY ACCOMPLISHED AND LIKE THE BEST MOM AND WIFE EVER.
I know there’s still a lot of other plastics to get rid of, but I do feel really great that we are now storing our leftovers and heating them up in glass vs. plastic. I can’t believe alllll the years we were storing and heating things up in those old plastic things, but it feels really really good to have made the change!
I put this on Facebook, but it’s like that meme that you see that starts out with….
One day you’re running through a field with a bottle of Boone’s Farm…
This is apparently how it ends for me…
and the next thing you know you are absolutely GIDDY about the deal you scored on your new glass storage containers.
LIFE COMES AT YOU FAST Y’ALL. 😉
Here’s the BEFORE picture…
I know. It was a nightmare.

And here’s the AFTER…
The happiness this picture brings me is completely over the top, but I don’t even care that I sound crazy. 😉 And here’s the deal, it only took me about 10 minutes to throw all of the old containers away, take the new containers out of the box, and place them in their new home. And that 10 minutes has brought me so much JOY.
Doing this has inspired me, and I told Chris that every week for the next two months I’m going to go through one or two kitchen cabinets, throw away (or donate things) we no longer use, wipe down the shelves, and then reorganize each cabinet with the items that remain. I’m going to do it every Tuesday since the trash comes on Wednesday. Tackling the kitchen like this is going to be super do-able… and I’m going to be THRILLED when the entire kitchen is done.

I know I heard from some of you that you bought two sets of the above, but my small family doesn’t need that many containers.
I did however realize that I wanted a handful of larger glass containers for when I’m storing things like chili, large amounts of taco meat, leftover roast, etc… so I ended up grabbing this set too. I think it will complete the cabinet nicely. 🙂

11) longer denim shorts / THESE DENIM SHORTS ARE SO GOOD. They have a 6″ inseam, so they provide a good amount of length, but I don’t feel matronly in them at all! I just feel covered, but cute. Basically, I still feel like a cool and hip mom, while managing to stay totally age appropriate. They are slim cut (which makes them flattering), but I love the roominess of the leg opening. I’m wearing my regular size 4. Also, they’re pretty affordable at $79!!!
I’m always getting asked for a white tee recommendation. I feel like the one I’m wearing here is a dang near perfect white tee. It’s a good medium weight, it’s not see-thru at all, it holds its shape, it’s a great length (not to short or long), and it’s not boxy (but it’s not fitted either). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It has 364 reviews, and the great majority are 5 stars, so the people agree. 😉

Here are tons of outfits with the shorts…
This is the top from the 2-piece gauze set (#4 in the collage).

The ric rac trim and the mix of floral and striped patterns make this top so so charming. I like it with a 1/2 tuck, but you can see on the left that the wide banded hem make it great worn out too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I definitely need a small. It doesn’t look like it in these pictures, but it’s quite roomy all over. I would definitely suggest sizing down 1 size.

I showed you this Peter Pan collar blouse in black a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it so much that I grabbed it in white too.
Peter Pan collar blouse / denim shorts / coin toggle necklace / gold bracelet stack / multicolor bracelet set / raffia buckle sandals

Well, ladies. It’s my favorite green! This top has an all over eyelet embroidery that is adorable. Be aware that the eyelet is open and the top isn’t lined, but I still don’t feel like I need to wear a cami under it. And the elastic banded hem with the little ruffle trim makes this top extra special. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

12) white cotton dress / Last year I purchased and wore the heck out of a white dress from Treasure and Bond. I bought it in black too, and I was low key hoping they would just bring it back this year because it’s SO GOOD, and I wanted everybody to have a chance to grab it if they hadn’t already.
Well, it hasn’t come back yet, but this white eyelet dress is pretty fabulous too. LOOK AT THE DETAILS! The covered buttons, the tiny pleated ruffle neck, the scalloped edge sleeves, the inverted v waist, the all over embroidery… everything is truly beautiful. It zips up the side, but I was able to just slip it over my head (which I prefer). I’m wearing a size 8 which is pretty typical for me in a dress.

************
13) embroidered shift dress / This embroidered shift dress is a really great red with really fun embroidery! It’s 100% cotton and y’all know I love the shift fit, but there are several details that make it really special. The square neckline is very unique, and the geometric cut outs and embroidered flowers make it really stand out. It has a hidden zipper, but I was able to just slip this one over my head (which I prefer).
It is lined underneath in the same red colorway, so there’s no need to wear a slip. I’m wearing a small here, but I actually think a medium might be a better fit. It looks a bit roomier on the model, and I think I might like it better that way.

That’s it for today, y’all! Did you add one of these items to your closet in April? And if so, is it now a favorite for you too?
