So when Nordstrom asked me to talk about gift ideas for the men in our lives, I thought that today was the perfect day for it! You know, just in case you want to spend your $500 prize on your guy. 😉 But don’t worry, I’ve got some awesome picks for us girls as well! Just in case you want to spend it on yourself. #noshameinthat
First up, my MEN’S GIFT GUIDE. You’ve seen several of these items on the blog before. But these are the items that my guy LOVES and are HIS must haves. Some of these items he’s had for years, and he still loves them and uses them just as much as he did when he first received them. In fact, the only thing new in the below gift guide is the Patagonia pullover. He’s owned everything else for at least 2 years. This isn’t just some random gift guide of items I think would be good for guys, these have all met Chris’s seal of approval…and that’s not an easy seal to get. 🙂
He syncs the Bose speaker with his phone or any smart device (via bluetooth connection) and plays music EVERYWHERE: the neighbors, the pool, the ranch, tail gating, EVERYWHERE. He’s owned it for 3 years, and it’s still going strong. The range is about 30 feet with no obstructions, battery life is 6-8 hours, and the sound quality is awesome! So many readers have purchased it for their husbands, sons, boyfriends, and/or dads over the years, and everybody says they were gift giving heroes! And great news, it’s $20 off right now! It’s definitely his favorite item in the guide. There’s also a bigger version HERE that supposedly has a longer range and battery life.
I gave him the e tip gloves last year. They allow him to use his i phone while keeping his gloves on. He loves them. He’s been wearing Under armour tees for a couple of years now, and he really likes the fit. Their soft, not to loose or tight, and they wash great. He also loves their shorts. His slippers are slip on, cozy, and ON SALE for $21.90!!!! WOW!
The Patagonia pullover is the one new item. He’s always worn Northface pullovers (and still loves the several that he has), but he decided to mix it up this year with this Patagonia. He just wanted a different option! He continues to love the Northface jackets as well.
bose speaker /e tip gloves / patagonia / under armour tee / deer stags slippers
Last year I did a Father’s Day gift guide, and several of the same items are on the list. The only thing he doesn’t use anymore is the Fitbit. He wore it for years, but a couple of months ago he just stopped. Since the below picture was taken during warm weather, he was wearing his Reef flip flops. I gave them to him for Father’s day a couple of years ago. He thinks they are comfy, I think they look great, and they have a bit of a fun surprise…they have a bottle opener on the bottom!

NOW, for some items for us girls! My sister, Conner, sent me a pic over the weekend saying I had to talk about these three products. Her thoughts on each of them are in italics. I know lots of you are product junkies, so I knew you would want to know about them!
DryBar Products:
This past summer, I wanted to do something different to my hair and my hair stylist suggested going with a balayage. I didn’t know what that meant, but I trusted her and told her to go for it. It looked AWESOME, but because I went so much lighter, my hair really suffered. It was SO damaged. It was dry, brittle, and breaking off. I wash my hair every day since I work and it goes SO slow…so I wasn’t able to go cut off several inches because it would literally take me 2 years to grow it back out. Not an option. So, my hairstylist trimmed my ends and I decided I would start a better hair care regime. Y’all…these two products have saved my hair. Literally.
Let’s start with the ‘100 Proof Treatment Oil’ – it’s AMAZING. I don’t know how it doesn’t have 800 reviews and 5 stars. My only guess it’s because it’s relatively new and enough people haven’t tried it yet. OMG, my hair is so soft after using it. I put a tiny amount on the ends of my hair before blow drying and then a small amount on the ends before curling my hair. My ends no longer look dry and brittle. It’s seriously a miracle worker. I’ve been using it for a little over a month now and it looks as if I’ve barely used any. This bottle will probably last for a year. No joke! Another bonus? It smells SO GOOD!
On to the ‘Mudslide’ nourishing hair mask. My hair is coarse and slightly curly (but not a pretty curly…just that nasty unmanageable curly. Blah), which also makes it extremely dry. This mask is awesome for any hair, but especially awesome for any ladies with hair like mine. The product isn’t super thick like some hair masks. It’s more like a thick conditioner. After shampooing, I drench my hair with this product and comb it through from the roots to the ends. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it out. I use it 1-2 times per week and can tell a major difference in my hair. For once in my life, it’s finally manageable! I cannot recommend this product enough!
Well, I have to say, Conner is pretty persuasive when talking about the products! You can find all Dry Bar Tools and Products carried at Nordstrom HERE.
The Evian Face Water Spray was an impromptu purchase. After reading the reviews, I figured I needed to try it. Seems weird to spray Evian water on your face when you can just splash some water from the tap, but it’s different and SO refreshing. Here’s the description from Nordstrom.com…
“Propelled under high pressure by nitrogen (80% of the air we breathe is nitrogen, 20% oxygen), the ultrafine pure, natural mist allows the skin to absorb a unique balance of beneficial minerals along with the water. No other water contains the same balance of magnesium, calcium and phosphorous which explains Evian’s superb compatibility with facial skin. A heavy soaking morning and evening removes all traces of cleansers and harmful hard tap water often containing fluoride and chlorine. Evian® Mineral Water Spray helps to enhance the performance of all other skincare products by hydrating the skin prior to the use of moisturizers.”
YES. YES. YES. My skin is extremely dry and the first time I used this spray, I forgot to put on my moisturizer. That NEVER happens. My skin will literally start cracking without moisturizer, but it didn’t after spraying this water on my face. I seriously can’t figure out. It must be magic so just try it, trust me!
So, after checking out Conner’s product recommendations, I kind of fell down the Dry Bar rabbit hole. And now I’m asking for THIS for myself for Christmas. I will have reviews of it after Christmas (as long as Santa brings me one), but the reviews online are fantastic. Read the 4th one down on the first page, and I’m pretty sure it will be going on your Christmas list as well.
And here are a couple of Santa Alerts you saw last year, but since I still love and believe in the products, I know they are worth sharing again!
Click HERE for the make-up sponge I can’t live without. This would make a terrific stocking stuffer!
If you’re wanting a really nice gift, then check out my Clarisonic. I swear by it! If you are interested in learning more about it, go check out the 747 5 Star Reviews!
The men’s version of these gloves were on the gift guide above for your guy, but I need to be able to access my phone too, while keeping my hands warm! Click HERE for my e-tip gloves. I got mine last year and think they are great!
And this is a bit random, but I’ve received several e-mails about THIS dress. Smalls keep on popping in and out of stock, but several ladies that got it after I first highlighted it are VERY pleased and excited to wear them to their holiday parties!
I loved the shape of it, the cute little sleeves, and the neckline. I also loved the price tag of $88! For size reference, I’m wearing a small. It was a little tight across the bust, but the medium was huge on me. And I’m afraid this dress isn’t for tall girls. The slip under the lace is shorter than the dress, which I like because it makes the lace really show up! However, I think a really tall girl might have trouble pulling it off.

I use the Evian spray every single day! I swear by it for flights too. I ALWAYS keep it with me on board a plane. This stuff is amazing!
DeniseOCC says
Re, the Evian spray, I use the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water (also a spray) after cleansing (La Roche Posay Micellar Water) and it is THE BEST! Both products are excellent for sensitive skin and were unavailable in the US for many years. I stocked up on trips to Europe. However, they are available at Target now!

How do you clean your beauty blender? I love mine, but don’t want to have purchase one monthly!

Love today’s give away!! Not that the rest haven’t been awesome – but seeing I’ve spent about $500 on myself since Black Friday – winning the gift card would put me back at $0.00 spent and I could focus on Christmas gifts!! 😉
Leann says
My husband has and loves all these items except the slippers ( he has Uggs). I second your great recommendations!

Your hair sounds very similar to mine. Splurged on the Drybar Buttercup…and it’s great! I could use every product my hairdresser does and the same flat iron and not get my hair to look the same until I got the Buttercup. I’ll have to try the 100 proof treatment!
Meghan says
Are the slippers true to size?
Sheaffer says
Yes, Meghan! Chris found them to be true to size! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Emily saba says
Woohoo! Awesome!
Cindy says
Where did you get your cutting/serving board that you used with the cream cheese caramel dip and apples? Thanks

Hi, Cindy! It was from Homegoods a couple of months ago! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
