2015 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: MORE Favorite Finds during Early Access!

 Ladies.
Okay, I feel like I just have to say this.
I basically had a power nap and then headed back to Nordstrom again yesterday.
I. WAS. A. MACHINE.
I highlighted many of my favorite items yesterday (click HERE for yesterday’s post…or just look at the bottom of today’s post for those items), but I’ve got NEW ITEMS today!
If you’re new around these parts, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale introduces fall and winter items
at a deeply reduced introductory price.
The items are introduced with SALE PRICES, and then when the sale is over, the prices go back up.
It’s Nordstrom’s way of encouraging us to start buying fall stuff when it is still 100 degrees outside.
AND IT WORKS.
Because the deals are fantastic.

Wit and Wisdom Jeans

Do y’all remember back in December when I named a pair of Wit and Wisdom jeans a MUST HAVE and many of you went crazy for them.
Well, if you were one of those people, you are going to be super happy about this item.

I love that they are ankle length on me (I’m almost 5’4″), and they definitely have a higher waist than the Vigoss jeans if a higher waist is what you are looking for.  For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.

SAM EDELMAN LEOPARD HEELS 

I tried these on yesterday, and they are awesome.
I’m not typically a heel person, but these spoke to me.
They said, “You don’t need us…but look how pretty we are.“
If you ARE a heel person, I’m pretty sure they are saying “Make me your mommy.”
They are totally sexy, but they are very comfy and not too high at all (2 1/2 inches)!
And the heel kind of looks like it’s croc.

I wear a 6 or a 6 1/2 depending on the shoe, and the 6s were perfect for me.

When looking online yesterday morning after the sale went live, THIS vest caught my eye.

So I wanted to find it when I went back to the mall yesterday and see what I thought in person.

Are these comfy?
Well, they are from UGG.
Nuff’ said.
They are VERY comfortable, and they have lots of great detail.
It says they run small, but I didn’t find that to be the case.
I’m sometimes a 6, but more often a 6 1/2, and the 6 1/2s were perfect for me!
I like these with jeans, but they would be FABULOUS with skirts and dresses.

VIGOSS JEANS!

These Vigoss might just be my favorite to date!
They are stretchy, and soft, and fit like a glove.
They have a little bit of distressing, but not too much.
For the record, I did NOT like the white Vigoss jeans that are in the sale.  They were way too distressed.  Also…there are Wit and Wisdom jeans in the sale (the other MUST HAVE jeans that so many of y’all fell in love with this past December) that I will feature tomorrow!  Yay.

I would recommend sizing down in these jeans.  For size reference, I’m wearing a 26.

    Are the wit and wisdom jeans you have on the "stone" wash? They look dark on you (the look I want), but on Nordstrom's site they look lighter.

    Hi Sheaffer!! LOVE you and your blog. Yesterday morning I promptly signed up for a Nordy debit card and immediately bought the blardigan, leggings and fringe scarf. Three things I was kicking myself for not having last fall/winter. I went with the camel color fringe and saw that you posted the green. Is the camel color cute too? Did I go wrong?
    Also, yesterday I realized that I don't really consult Pinterest too much any more. I really just consult Pinterest Told Me To! Ha! Lots of love from Cowtown!

    I tried so hard to be interested in the clothes on the site. I really did. It's just too hot to even imagine needing a puff vest.
    Oddly, I did buy the cotton cable knit blanket in orange for Clemson football games. Football season. Well that's a horse of a different color.

    Another great post! I see lots of people talking about making a certain purchase count for triple points. I didn't see that as an option when I checked out online yesterday, and I remember it being there in the past. Did I miss it?

      My first time shopping with the Nordstrom debit was yesterday and they gave me an option for triple points. I didn't really understand it but since I bought so much, I figured it was a good day to use it! Once I clicked for triple points, it told me that I could get triple points on all purchases until 11:59 p.m. If you bought a lot yesterday, perhaps you could call customer service and get them to let that be your triple points day?

    Be careful of the Sonya Renee pieces. I'm not sure if it was just the ones my store got, or what, but that tassel necklace was on my list and when I looked at them, every single one of the necklaces was poorly made–the little crystal was popping out of the gold in the top corner. It was so disappointing to not be able to find a single necklace that wasn't like that. And half the earrings were like that too. And it didn't look like they were supposed to be that way since they weren't all sticking out the same amount. I knew it would end up bothering me by either catching on my clothes or falling out, so I skipped it.

    I got a ton of stuff yesterday–my daughter and I were actually in the store a full 10 minutes before they officially opened since the doors were unlocked. Everything from NYDJ jeans, to Pleione and Vince tops, blardigans, zella, Natori, Kendra Scott, etc. But my absolute favorite thing so far (even more than the Sam Edelman flats and Frye boots!) is the Bobbi Brown Pink Dusk lip set. OH MY GOSH It is gorgeous! It is the most perfect color I've ever gotten. I couldn't be happier with it. Of course after being in the store for 3 hours in the morning and an hour with my son after soccer, I wasn't done and came home and ordered even more online. I'm sure a lot of stuff will end up going back, but I probably made level 3 just with yesterday's purchases!

    I'm torn on sizing for the wit and wisdom jeans! Lots of people say size down, but I remember you saying you stuck with your reg size. Do you feel like they stretch out a bit as the day goes on? Were you in between sizes at all? I'm normally a 4…just trying to decide on 4 or 2. Thanks, Sheaffer!

    I bought the green cargo pants and they are so cute! I am deciding between purchasing the gray booties or the chocolate brown. Seeing them in person which did you prefer?       I actually don't think it does….or if I'm missing something let me know! 🙂 I usually wear a 1x in tops and bought an XL last year and it fit! The first time I wore it, it was long enough to wear with leggings (and a long cami) but after I washed it, it shrunk in length. But I still love it with jeans or pants for work – it's so classy looking! 🙂

    Okay, I found a new favorite find! Josef Seibel Lilo 13 Leather sneakers in silver!!! They were with the "sensible", comfortable shoes but don't look "that way" at all!!! The silver metallic is edgy and the cut on my size 10 foot is flattering. Salesperson says people are buying them for long walk vacations (Europe,etc). I will wear these year around and will be a dressier alternative to my gray Converse! Soooo cute! Check them out!!!

    Ok, since you are at a "Tell All", it's time for me to come clean…. I got up early to get my blardigan and glitter studs before going into work (I mean, what if they sold out!?!). And then I made it into the store today, got Natori bras, Zella gear, shoes, some Kendra…. And as I was buying a Blardigan for my mom for Xmas, I might have gotten a second one for myself… It seemed so necessary once I was standing there trying it on and I could.not.stop.touching.it!     I just got my over the knee boots by Dolce Vita and I will have to return them for a bigger size. They are too short. Did you try your regular size on? They seem to fit pretty narrow and I have a narrow foot. They are sold out in the saddle suede but hope they replenish this Friday.
