Let’s start off with a super soft top that’s ON SALE for $35.90 The top I’m wearing in the picture below is actually called “red” on the site, but it’s clearly not red at all. It’s very much a “wine” or a “burgundy” color. I’m doing a 1/2 tuck here, but it’s also cute worn out. If under 5’4″, you could probably wear it with leggings as well. I’m wearing a small, but I might could have even sized down 1 size (just not sure since I didn’t try it).
I haven’t washed mine yet, but there was a conversation on facebook last night and one reader left the following information: I’ve only washed it once so far but I used a regular cycle (not delicate) with cold water and laid it flat to dry. It holds its shape and softness very well. – Rhonda S. Click HERE if you want to see the post where lots of other readers that already have this top left comments professing their love.
Another reader left this comment: LOVE my top like this…in fact ended up ordering in 3 colors. I actually sized up to be sure it would look good with leggings but it still doesn’t look too big or baggy. Thanks for the tip, Dorothy!

And just fyi……the MUST HAVE BOOTS have changed color online now. When I initially named these a MUST HAVE last week, the “cookie dough” color online was much lighter than the pair I received (even though I ordered the “cookie dough”). Some readers were receiving the lighter color boots (pictured online), and some were receiving my color. Well, the picture online is now an accurate representation of the boots I received. And good news, they are still on sale. They are very comfy and have such great detail. Click HERE to see the original post with a more thorough review of the boots.
And here’s the same top, with regular ol’ denim and a pair of booties. It would also be cute in a super casual look with minimal jewelry (no necklace and a pair of stud earrings) and shoreline converse!

The girls at Accessory Concierge reached out to me yesterday and wanted to know if I liked these pom pom scarves. Um, HECK YES! I have a couple of them on their way to me (thank you, A.C.!), but today they have given us a 50% OFF code! Use the code STMTplaid to get 50% OFF!
Here you can see the scarves styled two different ways: 1) as a wrap and 2) as a more traditional scarf.
I’ve had several requests lately to show my mom more! #sheisdarling #iknow I gave her a couple of sweaters and a couple pairs of pants for Christmas, and when I knew she was wearing one of the outfits out, I told her to snap some pics and send them to me.
HOW GREAT DOES SHE LOOK! And her cords are 40% OFF!

So let’s talk about my mom’s pants. They are boot cut cords, but the black color is almost sold out…so I thought I would give y’all another option. The Wit and Wisdom black boot cut jeans are now FINALLY available again in black! Hurry, before they’re gone!
But if it’s cords that you are looking for, you’ve got lots of color options in the skinny cords! AND FOR SUCH AN AMAZING SALE PRICE at $35.90. And they have great reviews. I had a pair of these last year and really loved them. They are stretchy and awesome. I think I accidentally gave them away when doing a closet clean out (DANGIT!), so I’m considering ordering another pair at this price!
I had a reader e-mail me this week asking if there was an easy way to get to all of Conner’s Work Wear posts, and the answer is YES! You can click HERE to see all of them, but you can always go to the search bar on my blog in the right hand sidebar (right below the picture of the bra) and type in “Conner’s Closet“!
In case you’re new here, my sister Conner does a monthly series featuring outfit ideas that are perfect for office environments. One of her outfits from last month is ON SALE! In fact, both the blouse and the skirt are on sale, and then an additional 60% OFF! Ooooh!
Here’s what Conner had to say about the outfit: I was debating whether or not to order this skirt, but I’m so glad I did. If you pull it up online, it looks much brighter on the website than it actually is in person. It’s feminine, but still very professional. Plus…it has pockets! The ruffle blouse is such a good staple. I’ve also paired it with my red Marisa pants and about a million other pieces in my closet. I am wearing my standard sizes (00 petite skirt, XXS blouse). I’m wearing my black Kendra Scott drop earrings, the Sam Edelman shoes, and the Loft flannel tights. Both the top and the skirt are machine washable!
And check this out, from another one of Conner’s previous posts!!!! The utility blouse (a closet staple and a favorite for both of us) is ON SALE for $35 (and 2 colors are on sale for $14.88)!!!! And the Marisa skinny ankle pants (a favorite of mine for going on 4 years now) are ONLY $39.50 (regularly $69.50)!
Oh my goodness! I just saw that Conner’s favorite blouse from her last post is ON SALE for $14.88! It’s much more vibrant in person! Here’s what she had to say about it:
This outfit is my absolute favorite. The pictures don’t do it justice. This blouse is to DIE for. The teal, black, and gold colors are GORGEOUS. I received no less than 10 compliments on the blouse the first time I wore it. The details are just perfect…you can’t see it in the picture, but the sleeves have pleats/ruffles around the wrists. I die. The quality is amazing and the blouse looks really expensive, but don’t worry, it’s not! 🙂 Plus, you can’t go wrong with the Marisa ankle pants. Trust me, you need a pair in EVERY color. I’m wearing a pair of Accessory Concierge copper druzy drop earrings that are no longer available (they still have them in gold), but THESE earrings are the same copper color and match the blouse PERFECTLY! Get them, hurry! I’m wearing the Sam Edelman Hazel black suede shoes in a 5.5, the blouse is an XXS, and the pants are a 00 petite. Both the pants and blouse are machine washable.
There’s actually a great selection of shirts and blouses, ALL $14.88!!!!! CRAZY!
My friend Brooke’s family is adopting a precious girl from China. The sweet ladies over at Be The Light Project are helping them to raise funds to bring her home! They’ve extended the fundraiser through January, and 50% of all proceeds go towards bringing Willow home. They just added this necklace back to the shop, and it’s one of the most popular designs! They make the perfect gift or you can treat yourself! Click HERE to shop and be a part of this beautiful story.

We went to the ranch with family friends for New Years. We had THE BEST TIME EVER. So good in fact, that I took like 2 pictures. #badblogger
We got tons of fireworks, and the kids had a blast watching them shoot off the dock!

And if you didn’t see my post yesterday, then you didn’t see this collage…and I can’t have that. 😉
It’s that time of year again where I start eating less tacos and start eating more apples. I also kick up my workouts (my neighbor tried to kill me dead yesterday morning with the new program we are doing called Max Out). Good news though, I’m going to look cute when I stop breathing and pass out.
Have a wonderful weekend with your people, and I’ll see you back here on Monday!
