Y’all. It’s the Monday before Christmas! How in the world did we get here? 2016 came and went in the blink of an eye, and here we are IN THE LAST WEEK OF DECEMBER. It’s crazy! And now that we are just 7 shorts days away from Christmas, I hope everybody is in the final stages of Christmas prep and that you’re taking some time to soak in lots of great time with family and friends. And eat the Chex mix with Worcestershire and butter. Because CHRISTMAS. #givemeallthechexmix
I sincerely hope the blog has been helpful to you during the past several weeks when deciding on gifts to give others. Getting gifts for your loved ones is supposed to be fun, but as we know, it often turns stressful. I really hope I was able to take at least some of the stress out of it for you! And in case some of you still have some gifts to buy, I am going to do a bit of a gift giving review at the end of today’s post by highlighting some of my favorite previous Santa Alerts. I also have a new collage put together of some inexpensive gifts for the ladies in your life (and some could even make great stocking stuffers).
Anyhoo! I’ve partnered with Nordstrom for this blog post, and we hope to help simplify the last several days of your Christmas prep. But before the Santa Alert review, here’s a cute outfit that’s perfect for this time of year. And with the exception of the jeans (because jeans are just difficult to buy for somebody else) everything in the outfit would also make a great gift. I’m wearing a small in the sweater, so I think it’s true to size.
layered sweater / initial necklace / jeans / red hunter boots / blingy hoop earrings
The necklace comes in both silver and gold, and the personalized touch of the initial charm would make it a great gift. It would be especially awesome to give to a new mommy (have the initial be the first letter of the baby’s name) or a newly married young lady (she will love anything with her new last initial)! And I’ve never noticed this before, but while reading the description on this necklace, I saw that when you buy Treasure&Bond (this necklace is from T &B!), Nordstrom will donate 2.5% of net sales to organizations that work to empower youth. I love a gift that gives back.
Check out how cute the sweater is! I think it’s great how it’s cut up high on the sides so it’s able to show off so much of the plaid underneath. I love the look of 2 pieces, but when I try to layer them on my own, I always end up feeling too bulky! This sweater is all of the cuteness without any of the bulk!

And for Look #2, I continued the cozy theme over from last week. Y’all. THIS sweatshirt was made for leggings. I’m wearing a small, and I think it’s true to size. I love the small cowl neck and the wide band at the bottom (easier to see on the light grey sweatshirt). If you are going to wear it with jeans (and not leggings), you might want to consider sizing down. The sleeves might be a little short on you if you have long arms, but you could just scrunch them up and be fine. I’m wearing a small in the leggings and a 6 1/2 in the UGG boots, both true to size. EVERY SINGLE ITEM IN THIS OUTFIT WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT. I mean, I’m wearing my favorite earrings and my must have leggings for crying out loud!!! 🙂
tunic sweatshirt / hoop earrings / must have leggings / slim profile UGG boots (This outfit would also be cute with my UGG cardy boots from a couple of years ago.)

And here’s a close up of the boots. If you are looking for a luxury gift for somebody, these would make a great one! Soooooo warm, sooooooo cozy, and cute with the little wedge and the slim profile!
Now, for those of you that are still trying to wrap up your shopping, here are some inexpensive gifts for the ladies in your life. Just in case you need another gift here or there, or if you are in need of some stocking stuffers! I personally own and love the MAC lip gloss, the Rose Salve (I use it the most on dry elbows!), the fringe scarf, and the earrings. While making this collage, I read all about the Urban Decay make-up setting spray, and I told my mother in law I wanted it for Christmas!
amazing grace roller ball / crabtree and evelyn hand therapy duo /swell water bottles / MAC mini mascara /tinted lip glass /rose salve/ fringe scarf /make-up setting spray /lip scrub / earring sets

NOW FOR THE SANTA ALERT REVIEW!!!!!
My favorite gift for the last 3 years for pretty much every gift giving occasion is either the blardigan or the baby blardigan. I also included the pjs and slippers in this picture below because they are awesome gifts as well! I’m wearing a small in the top, and there’s still room. I sized up to a medium in the bottoms, because the last thing you want is uncomfortable lounge wear! And I’m wearing an x-small/small in the baby blardigan. And I’m telling you, I absolutely could not have been any cozier than I was.
top / bottom / baby blardigan / ugg slippers
Also….Barefoot Dreams Pillows and Blankets are on sale HERE! ALL of these would make amazing gifts. I would get a pillow for Carter, but as much as he enjoys being cozy, he also enjoys a really cold pillow. #thatsmyboy
Click HERE for the Men’s gift guide post if you want full reviews on the below items. Each item below is owned AND LOVED by my hubby!
bose speaker ON SALE /e tip gloves / patagonia / under armour tee / deer stags slippers
THIS Urban Decay palette. It has 36 5 star reviews and it’s a great range of neutrals. Every single color is GORGEOUS, which isn’t often the case in large pallets like this. There’s a good mixture of matte, satin, shimmer, and sparkle shadows…and they all mix very nicely together. And the brush that comes with the set is awesome! Until now I’ve basically just worn cream colored shadows, but after playing in Monica’s palette over Thanksgiving (Monica is Chris’s cousin’s wife), I WAS HOOKED on this set.
These are my 2 favorite bracelets. They are great on their own and great for stacking. And they make awesome presents for 2 reasons: 1) you don’t need to know the recipient’s size, and 2) the person who gets one of these bracelets will most likely find themselves reaching for it at least 3 times a week. That makes for a great present!
kendra scott bracelet / kate spade bangle
If you have somebody in your life that loves working out, each and every item in this collage would be a great choice for a gift! The water bottle is actually a great present for anybody, not just those that go to the gym. It has 61 5 Star Reviews.
Zella leggings / Swell “sparkling champagne” stainless steel water bottle / mini studs earrings/ mini glitter studs
And some more ideas for guys!
fleece jacket / apex bionic windproof and waterproof jacket / e tip gloves
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post and for making holiday shopping easy for all of us! See y’all back here on Wednesday for What’s Up Wednesday! This month’s bonus question is: What is your favorite memory from 2016? Hope you’ll blog and link up with us!

Yes, Sheaffer! You have totally streamlined my gift giving for the last several years! This year I got the Urban Decay palette for my sisters, the Patagonia for my hubby, Under Armour for my boys and the Magformers (and a couple of the toys you talked about on Friday), and a baby blardigan for my mom! Last year I got her the regular blardigan for her and she loved it so much that the baby blardigan was a no brainer. I got the Bose speaker for my hubby last year, and you’re right, it was a HUGE hit! Merry Christmas!

I kind of panicked when you said it was the last Santa alert. I love those so much AND I DON’T WANT CHRISTMAS TO BE OVER!!
Sarah R says
I just discovered your blog this year (hello Bachelor recaps!) and the Santa Alerts have helped so much! I’ve been trying not to resort to just giving out gift cards for everyone, and your posts made that possible! I got sweaters from Nordstrom for my dad and husband, the Kate Spade stud earrings and bangle for my mom, a scarf for my son’s teacher, and plenty of gifts for myself! 😉
Thanks for all the work you put into it and Merry Christmas!!
April Parrish says
I love my blardigan and my slim profile UGGs. Perfect gifts if you ask me!!!
Emily says
I bought tons of earrings and used your earring cut out printable, and everybody I gave them too has loved them! I’ve only been reading your blog for about a year, but after buying myself a blardigan earlier this year, I bought one for both of my sisters for Christmas way back in July. I’m so excited to give them on Christmas morning!

You look darling in that gray sweater/red boot combo!!! And that sweatshirt tunic is on my shortlist now!!
Lisa says
Does Kendra Scott jewelry ever go on sale?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Lisa! Yes, it goes on sale! I post about it every time it does!!! Fingers crossed it happens again sometime during the next couple of weeks. You can always just type “kendra scott sale” in the search bar on the Nordstrom site if you want to see if it’s currently on sale! Merry Christmas! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
